The Royal Victorian Motel

"Excellent air conditioning, very nice spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. For the most part it was a great experience and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The only things were that there was a slow drain in the bathroom sink that was caused by a bunch of hair that was never cleaned out. There was also definitely an ant problem, mostly confined to the bathtub drain. But I don't hold it against the motel too much, as at this time of year in Port Angeles, that seemed to be a widespread thing. Also the tv was not great and had a permanent vertical line stuck on the screen. You just have to know what you're there for. If it's for the beauty of the area as we were and you're just looking for a clean (all but the drain) comfortable home base and you have your meals planned out and/or plan to just eat out (there is a fridge and microwave but no other real means to cook or prepare food), then it's a really great, reasonable place to stay. And we would gladly stay there again under the same criteria"

"House is close to downtown but in a location that feels more secluded. Beds are comfortable, location was ideal for our Olympic National Park Itinerary. Host was fantastic! Great experience!"

"The house was clean and for the most part comfortable. Towels and wash cloths provided. House is in a quiet neighborhood with a forest walk to the side. Convenient to stores and the road to Olympic National Park. The main bed was quite uncomfortable-like soft foam rubber, the other bed was very squeaky. The tub/shower was awkward to get in and out of but good pressure. No "fresh" amenities provided. A tiny bit of shampoo and dish soap in large bottles. Would have been nice to have small bottles of shampoo/conditioner etc. Washer and dryer worked good and there was laundry soap."
