"Not equipped for cooking. The guest room they put me in smelled of smoke even though it was nonsmoking. The other room wasn’t much better. It has a musty smell. It looked like it had been clean but it smelled old and gross. "

"I needed an afordable clean, safe, last minute stay when I had to stay in town to help a sick relative. The staff were friendly and caring, and I had everything I needed. The road noise might have bothered me, but I sleep with earplugs no matter where I sleep, so I was fine."

"I had a really solid stay here and would definitely come back. The room was super clean, and access was very easy and straightforward, which made everything smooth from the start. I especially appreciated the water pressure in the shower—honestly one of the best parts after a long day. The beds were comfortable, and I was able to rest well overall. What really stood out was the communication from the staff. I arrived around midnight, and they provided clear, simple instructions ahead of time, so check-in was completely hassle-free. Location-wise, this place is a win. It’s very close to the ferry to Victoria, which made planning our trip super convenient, and there are plenty of food options nearby, so you’re not stuck looking for places to eat. The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy at times. You can hear vehicles passing by, so the rooms aren’t the most insulated when it comes to sound. Overall, though, it’s a great spot—clean, convenient, and easy to work with. Would recommend. "

"We had an exceptional stay at Chez Zig Zag. The home is beautiful and the setting is spectacular. There are beautiful views of the water from the living and dining areas and such lovely areas to sit outside such as the gardens, swings, fireplace area and dome. The home sits high on the bluff next to the Zig Zag trail which takes you down into town. It is close to so many restaurants and to the ferry station. The proximity to Olympic National Park was wonderful and we used it as a home base to travel to Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake and other areas. It was easy to take a day trip to Victoria B.C on the Ferry. Brent and Amy are wonderful hosts. The place is immaculate and stocked with everything you need. It was a pleasure to stay in this home and I highly recommend it. "

"The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The property is older but our room was updated and comfortable. It was an affordable, convenient place to stay for the night before catching the ferry to Victoria. They let us park our car there for the day. I wish there had been a hair dryer in the room. They may have had one available but I didn't take time to ask. "
