"David was an amazing host and incredibly accommodating, especially after we had dealt with a terrible experience at another rental. Stella Maris was a welcoming, cozy place that truly felt like a home rather than just another vacation rental. It had everything we needed, and we were so thankful to have found it!The beach was just steps from the door, the rooms were clean and well stocked with extra towels and linens, and the bathrooms were beautifully updated with rain showers and great water pressure. Our only minor complaint was that there weren’t enough utensils for our large group.I appreciated the host's responsiveness throughout our stay as he was quick to answer our random questions. Overall, a wonderful stay, and we’d happily recommend Stella Maris to others!"

"We absolutely loved the house! It was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and the entire home was in wonderful condition. The amount of natural light streaming through the windows instantly brightens your mood as much as the living space. (It sounds cheesy, but it's true.)The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to entertain a large group. The furniture was comfortable and you can kick back and relax while watching whatever streaming services you like. (Fair warning, the guest bed is very, very firm.) Our favorite feature was the view! The deck has a variety of seating options, for outdoor dining, conversation, stretching out in the sun, or relaxing in the shade. We couldn't have have for better. There is plenty of parking beneath the house, along with an outdoor shower and additional seating. (Bring Deep Woods Off with you, as the mosquitos [under the house] were veracious)We fired up the grill both nights. It had been a while since I’d used a charcoal grill, but it’s just like riding a bike!The market just down the road was also incredibly convenient for picking up a few items we had forgotten. It’s both a hardware store and a grocery store, so you can find everything from chuck eye steaks and air filters to beachwear!Communication with the owner was easy. She replied immediately when I reached out.We truly enjoyed our weekend and will happily return."

"We come to Bolivar every year so we know what to expect from a beach house. This one has been our favorite. It has a great view and a shady, comfortable spot to sit all day long. More shade than any other house we have rented. Inside is comfortable and well appointed. There were millions of towels, plenty of blankets. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. I hope it is available for next year."
