Awesome place. When it comes to the availability of food and the diversity and quantity of it, the score is a solid 100%. The beach has beautiful soft sand BUT it is FULL of seaweeds. There was a spot that was fully clear that you could get to, once you pass the seaweeds. If you are going with kids they will be mesmerized by the water parks. Close to airport. Friendly staff. Great water pressure in the room. Large clean rooms. Great balcony. You will have too many options when it comes to food and drinks.

The hotel is good, however you can notice there is renovations going on. One of my rooms door frames was a bit broken. There was one night I had water that came out of the shower into the room and requested cleaning... got tired of waiting and cleaned it myself. Also near the building we were you could hear the construction noise as they are working on the hotel. The beach you could not go in, due to the sargazo. We had to drive to other beaches and do other activities (which came at additional cost to us). All and all it was an ok stay. Aside of the door, the 2 rooms were good and we had fun with the activities and the rest of the facility.

I heard that the food in Punta Cana is not great, but this resort had a really great and extensive selection of nice and flavourful meals. The restaurants you had to book a day in advance but was really nice. You have a good list of activities to do at the resort from shows to dancing etc. The grounds were well maintained and housekeeping checked in everyday. I give this place a 4 star. Service was a hit or miss depending on who you met. Restaurant staff were mostly really great. I did feel like the check in staff and those working in the bar (the one that serves chicken and chips) were kind of cold and standoffish. I felt mostly ignored by them. The room was very clean and the AC ran very cold. I would have liked a slightly more upscale room but can’t complain too much for the price of what I paid. All in all the Serenade is a great resort. Next time I’ll try the adults only version just for the slightly more upscale room

If you’re looking for budget and not doing much but get in the pool and entertainment , this is the spot for you. The beach was not good this July 1st-5th trip. Food was definitely subpar, most days not sure if bacon was a hot item but there were none when we’ve gone to the buffet 4 days out the 5 we’ve been there for breakfast. Booking dinner seems to always be unavailable but never packed in the restaurants itself. Also note while most resorts have room service, this one is done by 9pm and not many options also. You can’t bring any food out of the restaurant/buffet to your room. That was the biggest negative for us.

We stayed at Serenade for 5 nights, and overall our experience was average. The biggest disappointment was how difficult it was to book the à la carte restaurants. For a resort of this size, the reservation system needs significant improvement. The buffet lacked variety. After the first couple of days, the selection became repetitive, and the food was only average. One day, the rice appeared not to have been washed properly, which was disappointing. Breakfast was also frustrating, with very long lines for the made-to-order egg station every morning. That said, there were some positives. The fresh breakfast smoothies were excellent, and we really enjoyed the seafood salads at the buffet. There were also plenty of beach chairs available, so we never had trouble finding a place to relax by the ocean. The service throughout the resort was below expectations. Staff were generally polite, but service was slow and inconsistent. We also experienced several room issues. One day there were no towels in the bathroom, which was surprising. In addition, the door lock was broken when we arrived. It was eventually repaired, but it was still an inconvenience. Overall, the resort has potential, but with limited buffet variety, average food, inconsistent service, room maintenance issues, and the difficulty of booking restaurants, it did not provide the level of experience we expected for a 5-night stay.

The staff was friendly, and our room was clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, our experience went downhill on the very first day when the shower handle broke off completely. We called maintenance, and during the repair they flooded our entire room, making it uninhabitable. The resort initially offered us a room in a different building, but that wasn’t a reasonable option since we had a second room next to our children. They then offered us an “upgraded” room in our original building—but expected us to pay an additional fee for it. That was completely unacceptable. We were forced to move because of damage caused by the resort, not because of anything we did. Charging guests extra after your own maintenance staff floods their room is poor customer service. To make matters worse, no one assisted with moving our belongings—I had to pack and transport all of our luggage myself. Mistakes happen, but how a resort responds is what matters. In this case, the response fell well short of what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. At a minimum, the room upgrade should have been complimentary, and assistance with relocating should have been provided. Aside from this incident, the resort itself was nice, the room was clean, and the staff was generally pleasant. However, the way management handled this situation left a negative impression and marred what otherwise could have been a great stay.

Rooms were cleaned daily, Staff was friendly, pool was nice but could have needed a few extra pool chairs or make people that just put out towls on chairs and didnt use them for hours move. Beach was nice (cleanup of sargassum was very helpful). We wished the beach was a bit bigger to be able to do longer beach-walks. Thought closing of pool and beach at 7pm was a bit early.
