"Fab wee hotel with onsight parking. Room was spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities with bottled water and biscuits replenished every day. Fresh towels every day and housekeeping staff were so helpful and chatty. Hotel is situated on main road into Oban town centre. They have a beautiful bar area which is very quiet and would benefit from offering evening meal. Overall a wonderful stay. This is our fourth stay here and will most definitely be returning. "

"Obviously the location sells this hotel. Very dated decor and bedroom was very cramped. Car parking is not on site. Food and drink is very expensive"

"Lovely guesthouse, lots of period features, bathroom looked newly refurbished, comfortable bed, parking on the street outside. The owner welcomed us, showed us the room and explained the easiest route for the short walk into town. Left us a bag of breakfast items in the fridge. "

"This hotel is very tired, in need of upgrading, rooms were cold and shower was just a trickle. We were on the third floor, and the weather was very windy and wet which we know the hotel can’t do anything about, the weather but had we were in the top floor it was horrendous and there is obviously something wrong with the roof. Which they need to get looked at. Breakfast was buffet but the hot food was cold. Bar man was lovely as was the waiter in the restaurant. There was 5 other rooms in our party and they all complained about the cold rooms."

"Room was clean. Up some very steep stairs. Not the most comfortable of beds. Very small en-suite. Functional for a single night nothing longer. "

"Our room was lovely and the air-conditioning and heating system worked well. We very much enjoyed the spa. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We did not really care for the dinner menu so didn’t eat there."

"Our stay at the hotel was very nice, room was comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant. we did make a comment re our evening meal but hear no more about it (lasagne was dry) i have attempted to make contact with the hotel by phone since our stay on the 14th February but no one seems to pick up phone calls. my query is regarding the addition of VAT added to our bill food and drinks. i did not see any evidence of VAT included or to be added to our bill. my hotel receipt shows at the foot of the bill that "this is not a VAT invoice but your VAT number is included in your footer. is this an error on your part or have i missed this. "Very comfy bed in middle of oban for the night. The bar was lively , good music and beer. Feeling its age a little round the edges but the staff are excellent."
