"We checked in pretty late and checked out early the following day so we didn’t get to enjoy the amenities unfortunately, however the view to the courtyard and pool was nice. The room was fair but could’ve been clean a little more (residue on the headboards and hair in the bathroom). Upon our arrival, there was only one attendant on site with a long line of people and multiple phone calls coming in, I felt for the attendant because she seemed frustrated and overwhelmed. Before checking out one housekeeper barged into our room and another knocked on our door on a separate occasion. Other than this, our short stay was decent. "

"This is a nice hotel. Beware the charges that are not clearly displayed at the time of booking. I paid $75 USD daily for parking and $65 USD daily for resort fees. This was an additional $135 USD daily that I was not aware of, which is significant for a 3 night stay. The location is good and the rooms were nice. The hotel just didn’t feel as hospitable as other luxury hotels I’ve stayed at. My expectations were much higher. "

"The room was very nice as was the staff. I loved the roof top seating areas. We brought our wine to watch the sunset. Lovely. They have a record player in the room and you can use albums from the lobby. Bring your own if you have them. 😀 They offer a nice healthy breakfast that you can take with you to the room or up to the roof. Great spot to walk to local restaurants. We had a drink at the Shanty right next to the lodge. Drinks were good and a fun place to hang out for a bit. "

"Stay was very enjoyable minus the last day. Right before check out house keeping kept coming into the room without knocking while we were showering to get ready to leave. It didn’t happen once but twice at 9 am. I was a little confused because check out was at 11 and it made us feel uncomfortable and rushed to leave."

"We stayed one night and chose this property for its advertised “on the beach” location. Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations for the price. The room was decent but outdated, with no air conditioning. To get airflow, you must open doors/windows, but there are no screens, so bugs come in. Privacy is also limited, as people from the nearby park can see directly inside. A major issue was the train, which runs every 10–20 minutes and is very loud. Since the tracks sit between the property and the ocean—and windows must stay open—you hear it constantly. The property is not truly “on the beach.” A railroad track and cliff separate it from the ocean, and beach access requires walking through a nearby park. While not far, this feels misleading. Additional drawbacks included no breakfast or on-site dining, limited laundry (2 machines), cleanliness issues (cobwebs), and construction noise disclosed only after booking a non-refundable stay. Checkout expectations (taking out trash, loading dishwasher, etc.), along with a tip envelope and reminder text, felt excessive. While the kitchen was nice and the beach is nearby, the stay did not justify the cost and felt misleading overall."
