"Ideal location, pleasant staff, but the room floor was not clean (dropped something upon arrival and quickly found 4 long hairs in the carpet looking for my item, did they vacuum?), and shower was inconsistent, every 30 seconds or so water stopped. Seems like needs an upgrade, overpriced for what it is. "

"Clean room but the whole place needs updating, and sooner rather than later. Small tweaks would improve it : better in room kitchen, there was an unsafe tap; tidy up the grounds, we had a view of an abandoned motel; get a new sign up. And finally, consider opening up the on site restaurant. There is a fantastic view of Mount Cook from here, the motel should make more of it.
I wouldn't recommend staying here in it's present state."

"Old, worn, tired lodge, stained pillows, worn mattress, the hot pools so very much advertised to enjoy according to brochure are payable!!! Misleading photos, take them down. 60% of the washing machines and dryers were 'out of order'. Asked for a cabin and got a 'downgrade' to a 2 bunk bed, 6 dorm room, thankfully to ourselves, noisy neighbours, noisy doors, never staying again."
