Great hotel in a great location - clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower with good pressure. Breakfast was also great - weirdly they charge for coffee (Nespresso pods) they put in the room - rather put cheaper coffee in and don’t charge for it?

Reception staff are incredible helpful and friendly. My room, especially the bathroom didn’t feel very clean - the toilet bowl stank and there was gunk on the sink.

The hotel itself is overall nice and updated. The staff was lovely. However, there is absolutely no security whatsoever. Anyone can just walk in. Anyone can take the elevator to any floor without a problem. The biggest problem, however, is the check out situation. Unlike every other hotel in the world, you have to stop and check out. This is a) no longer a thing and b) extremely inconvenient when you don't know you need to do as much and it's 5am and the person who is meant to do the checkout is sleeping in back and then someone needs to go upstairs to check the room and then charge you for any extras. Not ideal when trying to catch a flight.

Not my first ride at Ritz. Always pleased. This time I discovered the spa service. Nice to wake up and run by the beach only two blocks away.

The Hotel venue has amenities not up-to-date with international standarda for a luxury hotel. Bed is uncomfortable and cheap, the window's are not double glass and soundproof, therefore you van hear the traffic from the street. Common areas like swimming pool and gym are smalls and not very charming (gym is just a tin box with no windows). Not worthwed the price you pay.

The Hotel Ritz Leblon is ideally located in that neighborhood, with some great food alternatives (all walking distence). Leblon's beach is about 2-3 blocks away, sufficiently close, but not directly at the beach (with all the noise). If I return to Rio, I will definitely stay again.
