"Barcelo Maya Riviera is hands down our favorite of all inclusive resorts! We stayed in May and again last week. The service is wonderful, rooms lovely and large. Excellent AC and wifi. Plenty of restaurant options. We ate twice at other hotel
restaurants( on the Barcelo resort)… but prefer the ones onsite at the Adults only Riviera section.
The seaweed was much better contained and cleaned this trip. The pools were very nice… a bit warm though (90-93 F) However, the pool beside the MusicBar was 86 F…. noticeably more refreshing. it has been very hot so far this summer.
The only downside to this resort is the distance from the airport (50 mins without traffic). BUT it’s worth it! We will return again and again!"
