The most central location you could have in Newport - the bus garage was right next door which took us to all the tourist locations that I would recommend - the needles, shanklin beach, carisbrook castle and the garlic farm. The guesthouse also has an excellent Thai restaurant downstairs, great food, really delicious and great price. Charterhouse is located right next to the main high street stores as well as a large Morrisons. The proprietar was really nice. The place has just started out for a year, so do book your next stay!"

"The house had a lot of positives. It is very well situated not only for the ferry but to get to other places on the island. There was one of the best welcome packs we have experienced. the house is very well equipped and has a lot of things you don't expect - e.g. dressing gowns and slippers as well as dishwasher and laundry tablets (but oddly enough no spare toilet rolls). It was clean and linen was changed part way through our stay.However we did find the house smaller and darker than we expected and needed lights on whenever we were there. The upstairs bedroom is very tight for space. Visitors also need to be aware that part of the approach road to the development is in an appalling condition. Very uneven and has a 10mph speed limit. The authorities should be made to rectify it."
