We loved our stay at Hideaway as a family of 4. The rooms were newly renovated and had everything we needed, excellent playground complete with sandpit and trampoline for the kids, as well as the friendly Alpacas we could hand feed right in the backyard. The location was so convenient to Fairy Springs attractions, supermarket and central Rotorua. Thank you for accommodating our little sausage dog too :)

Staff were very friendly & welcoming upon arrival. Great parking. Kids loved the park and alpacas outside, right in the centre of everything - bonus was being able to feed the animals too. Our room was #19 - Delux family room with spa. It was very clean & tidy - everyday our towels were replaced with fresh ones and our bins were always emptied. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay 😊

We loved our stay at Hideaway. We stayed in the deluxe family room with spa bath, which was modern, clean and perfect stay for a family with young kids. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Just outside the sliding door was the playground and some friendly alpacas and a sheep. We didn't get much of a chance to try the playground due to the weather, but it looked great. We were given some food for the animals at check in and the kids absolutely loved being able to hand feed the animals every day. It is a short distance away from the town and the potential smells associated with Rotorua, although I would only stay here if you have a car. You do need to drive into town for shops and restaurants as there are no food options on site or in the immediate area. It is reasonably close to the road, but from our room we didn't really notice traffic noise. There was a laundry on site which was helpful. It would be great if the laundry hours were longer so that you didn't have to be at the hotel doing laundry during the day when you wanted to be out seeing things. There was building work while we were staying, however we didn't find it noisy or disruptive. We would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone with kids.

What a great place! Loved petting the farm animals on the property with Alpacas and Sheep. They have an onsite laundry and a fully equipped kitchen as well.

This is so far our favorite motel in New Zealand (out of 5 motels and 1 hotel). Perfect if you have kids. Rooms are very new, the Internet is also the fastest so far. Would love to come back and stay a few days.

Very new, well appointed, quiet, none of Rotorua sulphur odour. Bathroom especially nice, beds comfortable, small but well laid out kitchen area. Access via busy main road, egress onto it requires patience.

I stayed in the new block - rooms are beautiful, location is good and also animals on the property also, which I love! Overall, a very good place to stay! Staff is friendly and price is very reasonable also.
