The swimming facilities were fabulous. Room and bedding was comfortable with AC keeping room at a comfortable temperature. No bathrobes for going between the pool and our room. Bathroom is a little tired and dated. Wifi was great and staff were helpful. Loved that eat street was across the rd. Paid for the buffet breakfast, which was good value for money.

We chose Novotel because of its closeness to the lake front as we were attending the Matariki drone show. We were very thankful for room service as the lines for food at the event were far too long for us with two young children. Room had amazing views. Bathrooms need a refresh but otherwise everything we needed.

Exceptional staff at reception - we had 3 different bookings from the same whanau (mum and 2 daughters and their whanau), she was able to arrange us all to be on the same floor which was ideal for the kids and babies as we could easily go from rooms if we needed to do stuff. First time at Novotel. Once stepped into the room I already got bitten by fleas on my feet and legs. Carpet needs deep cleaning and couch have stains in them. Never felt uncomfortable ever in a hotel. Staffs are excellent with the service and have provided us a new room and felt a little relieved because the crawlies subsided but the toilets are dirty and have stained in the bath in shower and the ceiling is also dirty and rotting. The hotel needs renovation and is tired. I praised the staffs for being accommodating and helpful though.

Family weekend away

An awesome weekend away Faboulus from the start Dylan at Reception was awesome, i had a request on my reservation for top floor so he changed our booking the available room on the 5th floor, the view was priceless. We had the lake twin. Beds super comfy with nice pillows. Spa and pool are very good, we didnt know there is a private spa too but the included ones are what we needed. Great practical gym. Breakfast was yummy and had great range, they made burritos which was lovely. Staff at kitchen and Restaurant very helpful and welcoming. Oh dont forget there was a juice maker, soft serve ice cream maker and smoothi maker all on the breakfast package so you can use these too 👌👌👌... My boy super enjoyed his breakie and the location is far from brilliant, Eat street just there and the newly built Lake Front playground and picnic area just in the front . They had a small kids play zone and also a room to store ur bikes... Cant fault at all. Will definitely stay again 👌

Lovely buffet breakfast. So much to choose from. Nice staff who are efficiently working in the breakfast area.trying to tend to your needs. In the room the toilet bwas a bit dated but overall excellent stay and lovely hotel.
