The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i Resort Lihue
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room!! Ocean view was awesome could leave door open at night to hear the ocean waves as long as your upstairs. Sushi bar was good as well as the Mia tias. The pool was great my grandson loved it. It was right on the ocean with perfect views and strolls on the beac"
"Our stay in Kauai was absolutely amazing and made for the perfect anniversary getaway. The hotel’s beachfront location provided some of the most breathtaking ocean views we have ever experienced. Waking up each morning to the sound of the waves and watching the sunsets from the property was truly unforgettable.
The on-site restaurant, RumFire, was excellent. The food, drinks, service, and oceanfront atmosphere made it a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island.
One of the best parts of this hotel was its central location. We were able to drive anywhere on the island in less than an hour and a half, which made it easy to experience so much of Kauai during our trip. Whether we were heading to the North Shore, Waimea Canyon, or the Na Pali Coast, everything felt accessible.
The rooms were cleaned daily and always kept in excellent condition, adding to the comfort and relaxation of our stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai."
Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection
10/10 Excellent
"An absolutely beautiful resort, with all the amenities and staff attention one can ask for while on vacation. Our villa was amazing! Everything was clean, plenty of towels and robes for the family, washer and dryer if needed, supplies for cooking, and a view that never disappoints!"
"The room was really pretty good! Not luxury but good. It has some rust and mold from being in a moist environment, but that’s to be expected. The front room and kitchen were very nice and updated and welcoming. The master bedroom and bathroom were redone and nice. The kids bedroom felt a little dingy and had massive cobwebs in the ceiling corners— which made the kids scared to sleep in there. So the kids piled into our master bedroom and my husband went to sleep in the kids room. He lasted a few minutes before he felt bugs jumping all over him—and he came back to the master as well. No AC so the entire place stayed muggy and hot the entire day and night. We all slept on top of the sheets because it was so hot.You need to leave the windows open to get a breeze. But the screens fit poorly and there’s gaps in the doors so little bugs get in. Think gnats, moths, and mosquitos, and one large cockroach. The fans were rotating the wrong way to cool down the room so we switched the flip to make them rotate counterclockwise which made the fans throw large clumps of dust for days. The plan was to walk to poipu to see the turtles— but the way is blocked so you have to get in your car and drive the 2min to poipu beach. For Hawaii on a budget this place was great! The grounds and beach were beautiful! I however would not stay here again unless I can pick the exact condo I will be staying in—with AC!And a steep cleaning fee when you leave is wild with the cobwebs, dust, and dirty floorboards"
"Everything was beautiful and staff was kind. Only complaint was Our fridge never worked properly and our food all went bad. They gave us only a $30 credit. They tried to fix it twice and never replaced it."
Best Oceanfront - Walls of windows on famous surf and sunset, 2BR/2BA, A/C
10/10 Excellent
"The view from this unit can’t be beat. We worked our dinner schedule around the two hours before sunset to watch the surfers and the turtles. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. The kitchen is fairly well equipped though an outlet didn’t work so we moved the coffee maker. It would be nice to have a bigger pan to cook on even for just the two of us. We like easy one pan meals! But otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the unit is well equipped with beach chairs and towels. Thank you! This is a very comfortable unit with an awesome view!"
