Neat little motor lodge that's convenient to head out into the hills while still being within walkable distance to downtown Salida. It's older, but it's clean, comfy, and well maintained.

Very clean room with ample space, a full kitchenette, and a great shower and counter space at the sink. We didn't end up using the pool or the sauna given everything else in Salida during the summer. Check-in was easy and the clerks were nice. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean, and the staff was all friendly. The bed was fairly comfortable. What frustrated me was the lack of air conditioning. At first, I didn't think there was one. Then I found it in the outer bathroom area, where the sink and clothes rack are. It didn't really cool the room down so well. I don't like it too cold, but we have had some really hot days. The other thing is the walls are "thin". I could hear people talking and such in the rooms next to me. One thing I liked is they serviced the room during my stay. So many hotels don't do this anymore.

WE enjoyed our Stay there. The AC worked. My wife did not like how the bathroom was arranged. the toilet and shower were in one room and the sink and mirror was in another room. I thought it was okay since I could shower while she brushed her teeth and vise versa. I didn't like the shower curtain. The room did have drawer so we did not have to live out of our suitcase. the GWRL was in a good place so we could sight see the Great Sand Dunes NP, or the Royal Gorge Bridge. Overall it was a good stay.

The room was a bit outdated but, for the price it was certainly acceptable. It was clean and it was nice to get into the room and find there were two queen sized beds rather than just one. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice and helpful.
