Beautiful Rustic Mountain Home

10/10 Excellent

"This home was comfortable with several AC units. The kitchen had nearly everything we needed to cook. The half bath had a lot of beach towels for the hot tub. They had lots of items like laundry soap, dryer sheets, paper towels and toilet paper so we didn’t have to buy any. It was a lovely home with a great view!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location in Dalton Ranch.Very good service from VRC, check in easy, very responsive to questions and a maintenance issue.The general condition of the property is fair. The front walk is overgrown with plants on either side.The unbeatable views would be better if the the bushes on either side of the patio were cut back. They block the views to the right and left, many bees in the bush on the left.The grill is very old, rusted and sort of serviceable. Tried to grill three time, only able to light the grill twice. Need a new one.The armrest of one patio chair is unravelling, and all the cushions are very old and mostly ripped on at least one side. The sliding patio door needs care in opening and will not stay fully closed unless a stick is inserted in the track and against door.The layout of the townhouse is very good and the downstairs bedroom and bath are very nice.The property just need some TLC in order to receive five stars."

"We had an excellent visit to Durango while staying at the historic cabin, part of James Ranch. The cabin was private but the host was readily available to answer questions and address requests. The cabin was truly a respite. It is well stocked and comfortable, even in the warm temps we had while in CO. The proximity to James Ranch Market and James Ranch Grill made this a real oasis of comfort and luxury. Downtown Durango and plenty of shopping, dining and attractions within a short drive. This is a perfect place for two. We loved sitting on the porch and observing a wide variety of feathered friends, sipping ice tea and listening to the water sounds of the brook that runs through the property.This place is quiet and clean, clean, clean!!"

Secluded Home on 3 Acres + Stunning Views | 10 Miles to Downtown DGO

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a bit warm in mid June when we arrived and the house was quite warm. There is no AC. I think if host opened windows and adjusted the blinds it would have been more comfortable upon our arrival. I was advised to look for floor fans and only found one. The other days we were able to air it out and keep the temperature comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, fridge/freezer very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was no TV in the main sitting area. The balcony has awesome views and we enjoyed sitting out there day and night to enjoy the birds, scenery and stars. When we arrived the covers for all the furniture had been blown off and there was a coating of dirt/dust that I had to remove in order to sit and enjoy. Again, if host does a quick check upon arrival, this could have been avoided. Overall I give it a 4."

"We had a great time here. The location is great! The backyard was beautiful and peaceful. We sat outside a lot. The house had everything we needed, kitchen was stocked with lots of pots and pans and dishes! We were very pleased with how much room there was it was spacious. There were 7 of us and two dogs."
