"We loved everything about the stay! The owners were super super friendly and helpful. The cabin and grounds were clean. We killed a few spiders, one being a black widow. Spiders are expected everywhere. Just something for owners ro be aware of. We loved the fire pit, swings, games, grill access. Al around we give this place 5 stars!"

"There was plenty of rooms and plenty of bathrooms. The property itself wasn’t as clean as it could be. There were some cobwebs up in the corners and the windows weren’t clean. The outside wasn’t well maintained. There was some lights that didn’t have bulbs in them. The toilet tissue holders in the bathroom were broke. One of the windows was broke as far as the mechanism to open and close it. But overall, it was a pretty great place."

"The house sits a little outside of town but in a nice neighborhood. The 3 level house was very nice and can hold several families and has a nice living area with a somewhat small kitchen but it was not a problem at all. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The only issue we had was regulating the temp at night in the house with 3 levels. The folks on the bottom floor were comfortable but the people on the top 2 floors were a little warm. "Great property with unbeatable views. It is secluded but there are several neighbors nearby so you are not up on a mountain all alone. You can see and hear the trains as they come and go throughout the day! We went in July and it was very warm. The evenings/mornings were comfortable but the mid day was very warm, even with the fans provided and windows open. There are no blackout/darkening curtains on the lower level (which for us was the kid level) which meant the kids were up with the sun.. about 6am every day. The giant closet off the master was a great landing point for all our luggage and clothes and kept everything from getting too scattered. We will always remember the blue roof house on the mountainside!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hermosa Hideaway! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and beautifully designed. The décor strikes the perfect balance between modern mountain charm and cozy comfort, and every space felt intentional.What really stood out were all of the thoughtful little details. The kitchen was stocked with a great selection of coffees, teas, creamer, and everything you need to settle in without making an immediate trip to the store. The bathrooms were equally well-appointed with quality essentials that made it feel more like staying at a friend's beautifully curated home than a typical vacation rental.The natural light throughout the home is incredible. The large windows, high ceilings, and open layout make the space feel bright, airy, and relaxing from morning to evening. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Durango and the surrounding mountains.If you're looking for a place where you can truly arrive, unpack, and immediately feel at home, Hermosa Hideaway is it. We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the Durango area."

"This was the perfect spot for a large group and our dogs for a long weekend! Neighbors are friendly and will likely introduce themselves. It would be nice for the property and host to offer at least 2 towels per guest and additional toilet paper as extended stays are possible, and while it is a good price, the basic necessities are rather essential! We are overall very happy with the stay."
