5bdr + Kids Game Room, Walk to Beach, Hot Tub!

  • Welcome to paradise! You are renting a great beach house in the Pleasure Point area of Santa Cruz, CA, the famous surfing and hanging-out beach. The house is a 5min walk to the beach. I purchased this house so visitors with kids (or just kids at heart) would have a fun relaxing time. The amenities include a large backyard (for the beach) with a game room (includes 42" TV, Ms. PAC-MAN / Galaga Arcade game, and a foosball table). On the back patio, we have an outdoor dining set, large stainless BBQ, ping-pong table, deck, and of course... a large HOT TUB! In the garage, the fun continues with surfboards (beginner and experienced riders), boogie boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, umbrella, kids beach toys, beach cruisers etc. All for your entertainment and entertaining.

    The house has 5 bedrooms. (We have an 8 adult max)
    1) The 'master' bedroom with a King Bed and private bathroom
    2) The 'guest' bedroom with a Queen Bed
    3) The 'kids' bedroom with a Twin over Full bunk bed
    4) The 'breezeway' bedroom with a pull-out/pop-up trundle daybed (two twins)
    5) The 'office' bedroom with a Queen Bed and desk

    The house has full 2 bathrooms
    1) The 'master' bathroom has two sinks, shower/tub, toilet, and skylight
    2) The 'hallway' bathroom has a one sink, shower/tub and toilet

    The kitchen is loaded with stainless steel appliances and fully stocked with cookware.

    The house sits on a private road. No parking passes required. In addition, the house is on a cul-de-sac which leads to low traffic for a beach house. Safe for playing in the street.

    The house is 1500 Sq Ft and a flat roof (which means lower than normal ceilings in the back 2 bedrooms) 7ft guests not recommended.

Great Family Getaway

The house and grounds were perfect for a family getaway. The game room was used, as well as the outdoor spa. Even though the weekend was a bit rainy in January, the block and a half walk to the beach and bluff was amazing. We also walked down the hill to Capitola by the Sea. The home was easy to use for our multi-generational weekend!

Lots of room to relax or hang out in groups. Great location, near beach, dog park and great local shops, all within walking distance. Bedrooms have backyard access which helped early risers and late night relaxing by the fire. Heated outdoor shower was great when returning from the beach. Landlord very responsive. Would stay again.

Capitola Village is walkable, However it is a long walk. There is a beach walk nearby and beautiful views. The neighborhood is great. Overall the house is terrific. I dinged one star due to cleanliness.

Very clean and well maintained property, even while occupying the location. A strong wind occurred overnight and we left the spa cover off. The next morning we discovered a lot of debris fell into it and was not in any condition to be used. However, we left to grab lunch, and when we checked the spa again, it was all clear and cleaned up! Was very happy to once again use the spa. A++

Nice area, spacious, very well stocked with lots of items. Not as clean as I hoped. Probably because of pets. But overall enjoy the place. No doggie door cover in the bedroom by the laundry room very cold and drafty. Main Heater was not lit up when we got there, needed to work on getting the spark going a few times. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit.

Great long weekend mini vacation

My family of 7 and 2 dogs had the opportunity to stay at this perfect home. The listing says it all, from the spacious well appointed home with a large fenced yard for the dogs,and above all location location location. Quick walk to the beach,park right around the corner,all kinds of shopping as close as a mile away everything we needed.Oh yes cant forget about the hottub too.I did give a slightly lower grade for communication as I never received the usual welcome letter explaining the property,address,how to use things,owners info in case needed, thay type of info which was a bit concerning. However once we got there there was a very complete book left on the table with much of the info we needed.All in all it was a great stay and we would definitely go back again.

BEST IN ALL OF SANTA CRUZ AREA

Pictures do not do this house justice. I have stayed in many vrbo/airb&b's and this was hands down my FAVORITE! Not only close to the beach but to shopping and restaurants also. This house has EVERYTHING & feels like home! Truly a hidden secret. Me, my kids & grandkids had plenty of space. The rooms are big & spacious. We had 4 adults, 2 kids & 1 toddler & 1 infant (who stayed at the house) plus my sister who lives in Santa Cruz plus her kids & grandkids visited & that was 5 more adults and 2 more toddlers and we had room to cook & eat & hang out. The backyard is huge and the game room & spa was awesome also. I can not say enough AMAZING things about this house and look forward to staying here again. One one last thing is communication with the host was wonderful! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as i did and I'm looking forward to more memories in this house. 💗
