I booked an OYO Hotel through Expedia about a month in advance. After a long drive, I arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM to check in. To my surprise, the front desk told me that because I hadn’t prepaid the room, they had given it to someone else who did. They also informed me there were no other rooms available, and they couldn’t accommodate me in any way.
To make matters worse, even though I was there in person, they later charged me a no-show fee for Friday night. This was incredibly frustrating and unfair.
This experience with OYO Hotel was completely unacceptable—poor communication, zero accountability, and a total lack of customer service. I will never book or stay at an OYO Hotel again, and I strongly warn others to avoid them as well.
