"We booked a superior room and unfortunately the room was located on the Ferry parking. There was no other room unless we spent 700$ extra for the 3 nights. We hardly slept that night. We insisted and got for the other 2 nights a room at the center of the building on same floor 2. Floors 3 and 4 have been renovated but the others need refurbishing. Location of the hotel otherwise is excellent and breakfast buffet delicious. Menaggio is charming"

Matteo and Ingrid were who we saw the most and they went above and beyond what we could ever expect. The complimentary breakfast every day was very, very good. It’s only a few minutes walk to the train which is a 5 minute train ride to Varenna. It was our favorite spot of the 5 places we stayed in Italy."

"This is a fabulous hotel. My wife and I were here for four nights. The lake view room was very comfortable as was the bed. The service from the front desk was wonderful. All of our questions were answered with enthusiasm and warmth. We communicated mostly with Ricardo, and he did a great job. The breakfast spread was fresh and well stocked and was fantastic. The service at breakfast was excellent. I would give this ten stars if I could."
