"Arrival was easy and straightforward. The gentleman with glasses behind the reception (I didn’t get his name unfortunately) was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you . Had a quick dinner on my first night at the sports bar which was ok My best experience would be the spa especially to Mia and Katie. They are credit to the hotel as they are so professional and knowledgeable. The carvery dinner was great as the chef was great and kind and my lovely waitress Paulie(polly) was so attentive, polite and very caring. The housekeeping team was amazing as i walked passed and requested some items to be replenished and I don’t need cleaning. She was very kind and helpful and asked if I need anything? Contrast to my breakfast experience. Yes I am aware that there was a wedding and other events the night before so there was a queue to the breakfast I meant a massive queue which I can understand. Unfortunately the lady who showed to my table was not very accommodating and my table was not even cleaned before the set up. My cups and glasses were stucked to the table. This hopefully can be done better in the future. A small little things always be remembered and appreciated. Didn’t even bother to go for breakfast the next day that I already paid for. I just didn’t want a bad experience before I left. Overalll my stay has been pleasant and relaxing. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Old Thorns ."

"We stayed at the Old Stable Cottage as a base for the Goodwood Revival meeting and it proved ideal. A scenic country drive to the racetrack was only half an hour away. The cottage is very spacious, a large bedroom upstairs with an ensuite bathroom, while downstairs there is a large well equipped lounge and dining area. There’s another toilet on the ground level with a small kitchen and a conservatory. Our host Lucy provided us with excellent supplies for our first breakfast, everything was very clean, and all communications were first rate. A highly recommended venue, we’d love to stay here again."

"I'm very local but needed different surroundings to relax and recharge and thanks to this lovely cabin, hosts and location I achieved this. Would highly recommend and would visit again. The cabin exceeded expectations and is very peaceful and tranquil with woodland surrounds. I had everything I needed and the hosts went above and beyond. The whole experience, cabin, furnishings and location was perfect just the way it was, I wouldn't change anything other than staying longer. Beautiful!"

"The house was beautiful, exactly as shown in the photographs. Kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to cook a meal. Modern appliances were a bonus. Two bedrooms plus two bathrooms upstairs and a toilet downstairs.Centrally located, walking distance into Petersfield with all the shops and a market Wednesday and Saturday. Walking distance to the railway station.Would definitely stay again."

"We had a fabulous stay at Taylors Copse. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from the owners and a lovely little stock of essentials in the fridge. The cottage was very well equipped and thoughtfully decorated, so we felt very at home. We loved the huge garden space and being able to see the horses, chickens and even a couple of deer. It was a lovely private space, but Philip and Penny were on hand in case of any questions. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!"

"This property is amazing, and has set a standard that will be hard for us to find again, where do I begin. The apartment is beautifully styled, the kitchen is so well equipped and has washer/dryer, plus there were plenty of spare towels and sheets if needed for our week long stay. We were there in July during hot weather, the location is quiet to have windows open at night and there are a couple of fans to make sure you’re comfortable to sleep. The kitchen was so well stocked with supplies we were spoilt for choice with bread, cheese, eggs, juice, the list goes on. They were very responsive with messages, and made sure we’d received all the info before we arrived. They were also so kind to arrange early check in for us, which after travelling 24 hours from Australia we were very grateful for. Plus they added some small touches for my daughter so she felt welcome too. Location is great - can walk to supermarkets and shops, as well as the train station. No parking onsite but we had no issues finding parking nearby thanks to Penny’s great notes provided prior to the stay. A great option if you’re looking for accommodation for events at Goodwood - we drove and did the train both options easy from here."
