"Modern and clean hotel - bedroom well appointed and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Great location for the town centre and the Crucible! Breakfast felt a bit scrappy - lot of tables were left with dirty plates etc and a few items seemed to have run out and not been replaced. We visited the bar twice for a nightcap and it was a nice relaxed place for a late drink. Only issue we had was the strength of the scented air in the bedrooms - it was so strong. If you are sensitive to scent then this wouldn't be ideal and I'm not sure why it's necessary!"

"Been here before and it was wonderful. Went back for a second trip and the spa facilities were closed for the entire week and we weren't notified prior. This was the reason we booked the stay. The food options were limited in both restaurants using the same menu and the rooms were dated and need a little love. Overall, slept well but probably wouldn't stay again."

"You get what you pay for but what there is was decent. Loses a mark for mould marks on shower ceiling but cannot fault rest of hotel. Breakfast very basic but what food there was hot and edible and the bar/restaurant area is lovely."

"The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We arrived at breakfast after 9am (10am finish) and the hot offering was a bit depleted but there was something of everything except eggs, which a member of staff cooked extra for us. We would definitely stay again."

"Rooms are well appointed and clean with comfortable, large beds. The quality of food at breakfast was good, but hotel was very busy and there were not enough staff on to keep the breakfast buffet replenished and clear tables, and seating was at a premium. A little chaotic. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and so these issues may well resolve. There is a car park which is run privately and you have to pay for. It’s not really large enough for a hotel of that size."

"Shower in our room the thermostatic control was faulty . water was extremely hot and could not be regulated. Needs urgent attention as it s a safety issue."
