"The hotel itself is in a great location very close walking distance to everything downtown. It was quick and easy check in but the rooms need maintenance. Wall plug ins by one side of the bed did not work and the shower drain was sooo clogged, within minutes of showering I was in standing water."

"We really liked the Belltown Inn! The staff was super friendly and helpful and gave us a little "VIP" bag with a bottle of water and a bottle of Martinelli's sparkling apple cider. There were also two small bags of baked apple chips in the room for us. Even though we got there a few hours before check-in, they had a room ready for us. It was nice not to have to store our luggage and to be able to change clothes and freshen up in our room before we headed out to explore. Speaking of the room, it was well-appointed and decently sized for our one night stay. It had a kitchenette and an in-room safe and the cutest tiny balcony I've ever seen! It had a slider with a screen that you could open to people watch and listen to the sounds of the street below. The hotel is well-located, within walking distance to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, the Seattle Waterfront, and Westlake Center that houses the closest Link Light Rail station, which we used quite a bit. There are also several restaurants close by including a good Mexican restaurant, Hatch Cantina, on the same block. Like any big city, there was a fair number of homeless people within the surrounding blocks but we never felt threatened by anyone. The price for our room was very fair and less than other, comparable hotels close by. We will definitely stay there again!"

"Top tier service and environment. Populus balances a warm yet lively vibe. Everyone was exceptional from the valet, front desk, wait staff, baristas. The room feels modern yet warm. I love the details of greenery, wood. It’s a smaller hotel but lots of private room to chill, from a quirky library, side seats halfway up the lounge stairs, the cafe. Guests were of all ages and types (leisure, travel). Highly recommended if you’re there to attend a sporting event but need a space afterwards to decompress."

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) had a brief stay of only one night but found the location convenient to downtown with only a 20 minute drive in the morning. Food and other amenities were nearby in the West Seattle neighborhood around us. The property had everything that we needed. The sleeping arrangements were adequate. I slept in the front room by myself since I'm a taller guy, my wife and daughter slept on the bed in the back room and my son crashed on the couch in the middle room. For the price, the location was great and the lodging was adequate for our needs. Claire, the host, was very responsive and helpful. If you plan on spending most of your time in the city and just need a place to crash for the evening, this is your place. There's not a lot of extra space but it works for travelers on a budget, like us."
