"Chose this place for access to Mount Rainier National Park. Stayed in Unit 1 (1 bed + 1 sofa bed) with parking right outside the unit. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and park. Asked for additional bedsheets for the sofa bed, and the staff went out of their way to prepare the sofa bed for sleeping so I didn’t have to do anything myself. Highly recommend."
"They leave early and just leave your key for you for check in. Which is fine. But if you need anything and are checking in late, they aren’t there. But the cabins were super cute and clean"
"Curt and Paula have a great cabin for a Mt Rainier getaway. They are great hosts; extremely responsive and helpful. The rental was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with anything you would need. We had a lovely stay!"
Charming A-Frame @ Mt. Rainier~Nature~Relax! Pet Friendly!
8/10 Good
"This A-frame is an adorable older cabin updated with some great features. The kitchen is stocked with just about any tool or item needed to whip up a great meal. We stayed during summer and kept cool with the AC units upstairs and down plus several portable fans. A great place to stay if you’re planning to visit the south side of Mt Rainier."
Private 5 Acres in Packwood, close to Cowlitz River, Mt. Rainer & White Pass.
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved the Hinkle Tinkle Hideaway and our return visit did not disappoint. The property is beautiful, so relaxing at the end of a travel day or a busy day hiking in the area. The photos don't do it justice. My favorite spot is the chair hammock at the end of a long day. The inside was immaculately clean upon our arrival and I do silly things like check the corners of the silverware drawer, etc. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen is well stocked and with quality cookware and dinnerware, not just somebody's leftover junk. Having the washer and dryer on site is amazing while on a long vacation. Both beds are very comfortable and having thick fluffy towels was appreciated. Kimberly was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. Packwood is a fun little community. Staying on that side of Mount Rainier National Park saves a lot of traffic and waiting at the entrance versus staying on the Ashford side of the park. The restaurants are good, coffee shops/huts were awesome and there are nice restaurants in town. I can't say enough good about this place. We plan to be back!"
""This was a great base camp for visiting Mount Rainier National Park. The check-in staff was helpful and attentive, and the fast Wi-Fi was a big plus. It is also an easy walk or drive to local markets, restaurants, stores, and gas stations in Packwood."
"Extremely clean, not a cob web to be found inside or out. My family loved Packwood and all of the Elk that we saw. I would definitely stay here again."
"Clean beddings. Clean Kitchen. Good coffee. Outside was great Some missing smoke alarms leaving their exposed bases. No carbon monoxide detector.Game room was well used. Foosball table was missing a ball catch on one side, causing the balls to drop to the floor. Shuffleboard table completely worn down on one half, irregular sliding/stopping."
