"The night I stayed the petrol station next to hotel was being refurbished. That meant jack hammers and floodlights throughout the night - the poor staff didnt know anything about it until they started and were very apologetic - staff were very good. Professional, welcoming, friendly and helpfull. However - the room I stayed in was a bit grubby (lights on side of bed showed how dusty the room and carpet were). "special place with special memories BUT the mattress and the towels needs upgrading QUICK! and the bathroom needs a thorough scrubbing! HOWEVER the BATH! oh, the fastest and hottest hot-water EVER!!!!"

"Not exactly a 5 star hotel, but clean and comfortable, and for 29 pounds for a Family room (for four!) how can you go wrong?!"

"We pre-booked a non smoking Family room. On arrival the non smoking Family room we were given was not cleaned very satisfactory, they had no other rooms to offer other than a smoking room, which we had no choice but to accept. After pulling out The Bed Settee it was full of `glitter` (obviously not cleaned). The TV controller did not work and an electric bulb was missing from the dressing table. We complained and were given a small rebate. Would not book at this Hotel again."
