"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (especially the bar/restaurant staff). The rooms were clean and spacious, however the beds were very hard with lumpy pillows. Lovely room overlooking the harbour (although noisy birds in the morning!). Good location for a 1-night stay - not much else around."

"It was a great stay, I have stayed at the Clayton Hotel many times. Front of house was great and the manager was great and really welcoming. Also there are many place you can get to that is in walking distance, there are so many restaurants and site seeing that it's so easy to get to. Breakfast is fantastic and so many choices to suit everyone. The room are great."

"Excellent location. Room was comfortable and clean. Good amenities. Breakfast was a bit manic. Not enough staff to seat guests, clear tables and replenish food. Would stay here again for a short break in Cardiff."

"Staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful and create a truely homely feel. The little welcome gift is lovely and the rooms are clean and tidy and well equipped. Slightly dated bathrooms with fixed show heads and no walk in showers but they are clean and have all that is required. Bar and restaurant is very good with great staff and food is good quality. Limited to do nearby but a large car park and quiet. Could do with a swimming pool and leisure facilities to cope with local competition. Staff make this stay and allow you to forgive the modernisation of rooms"
