"Most staff nice but desk lady was quite snippy on our arrival...breakfast was good but the coffee from the machine was horrible. Only coffee bags in the room which I don't drink. However it was a good professional hotel in a great location apart from these few items."

"Beautiful hotel & rooms Very comfy bed Great spa facilities & very friendly staff I loved staying here"

"The hotel is lovely and staff were very helpful indeed. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Lots of stairs so be prepared but lift is also available. Disappointed to learn after booking the hotel that I had to pay for parking each day. I think over 24 hour stays should have parking included. I would recommend this hotel but be aware it’s on a steep hill. Bus service was excellent and drops right outside."

"We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. The pub is conveniently located a few minutes from the Bath park and ride. We'd...

"The parking spots are small, it is better not driving a big car there."

"We had a wonderful stay in Bath. The Bathhouse B & B is centrally located and in easy walking distance to Roman Baths, Jane Austen Centre, and other sights. There is even parking! The room was lovely and the breakfasts were excellent. The service was exceptional—would recommend to travelers looking for a special place."

"A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you."

"A beautiful place in a perfect location to explore Bath."

"There was no convenient way to use the hair dryer with a mirror making it problematic. Had to move heavy side table to use plug. The highboy doors didnt close properly and swung open on their own (needs to be fixed). The parking was interesting getting up the steep hill, but we managed."

"The hotel looks spectacular when you arrive. On check-in the staff were polite, seemed a little fed up everyday thereafter. The restaurant is something that should be avoided at all costs unless you like eating uninspiring, bland overpriced food (£60 for 2 people and I would have expected something that looked and tasted like some heart had gone into it). Best option was the pub at the end of the drive or a takeaway!! Breakfast was free - that was nice because I would not have paid for it! We...

"The hotel was very cozy and was very close to the train station, Abbey, and Roman Baths."

"The hotel is very tired and run down. It is an old building but the repairs have been done in an unattractive way and are glaringly obvious. Our room was ok and although it was clean, it still felt grubby due to the shoddy patch jobs. There was also a weird and nauseating smell in it which I think was from a floral cleaning product. I can’t fault the staff or the location though."

"The rooms were not clean, the carpet was not clean in the room, the bathroom seemed clean but in general I was not reassured. The breakfast was not great. I really wish it was just clean"

"We found the interior design to be inventive and beautiful. The hotel is a joining of 12 (?) different houses and getting around can feel like one is in a maze. As an older couple, they gave us a room we could get to, avoiding stairs and gave us a great view. The modern bathroom had to be a bit cramped to accommodate the many mergings of houses. We would have liked to have had tissues and more hanging space in the room. The bed was way too hard for one of us. They brought up a duvet to top the...

"We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean."

"Très bel hôtel, personnel courtois, Spa agréable et gratuit à certaines heures. Beau déjeuner inclus. Coût élevé par contre, mais hôtel de luxe."

"On first arriving to this hotel all seemed well, staff member was polite, explained all we needed to know and helped us to our room, once in the room we noticed that it needed to be maintained better as there was cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet areas, paint chips and marks on the doors. The furniture such as the dressing table is bubbled up and the tv remote was dirty also. The bed was very hard and left me with a very painful back, the pillows were flat and so had to fold them to...
