"This was a lovely cottage, just perfect in everyday, well stocked with all the equipment you'd need, lively and comfy and cosy, but yet spacious and a thoroughly lovely location by the farm. A lovely walk through the farm on the public footpath to the fields behind was perfect! Will definitely go again and recommend you pick this cottage if staying in this area!"

"Last minute booking as forecast wasn't good.Lovely little cottage, easy to find with the directions.Everything we needed there, and good local info in the info pack.Note one pub didn't serve food on mon and tue night and the other happened to be closed while we were there.But lots of choice for take away in the local towns 10min drive away."

"We absolutely loved being the first family to stay in the beautiful Holly Tree Cottage. The welcome pack we received was fantastic and a great start to what turned out to be a great week. All rooms were well appointed to a high standard with ample storage.The downstairs en-suite bedroom was fantastic for my mother who has partial mobility. The whole house is beautiful and garden too with a great patio area. The kitchen was such a lovely space to sit when the rain had set in, it was a wonderful place to rustle up culinary treats too, with everything you needed to rustle up a family feast. The area was quiet with the nearest Pub a good few miles away, but that didn’t bother us. We ate out a couple of times locally and also used the bread lady in the next village and butchers too, we had no complaints. We used the cottage as a base to visit York, Whitby and Knaresborough and even neglected the dog to take a couple of Alpacas for a walk!All in all,A great place to chill,A great place to explore."

"Nice property, TV reception is hopeless and has been previously noted but no improvement Location is excellent in a very nice village with an excellent pub a very short walk away which does good food Off street parking for ONE car, dog friendly but small garden not enclosed or fenced.Seems to be managed by a company as opposed to the actual owner.Overall I would recommend but don’t rely on the TV or the garden as it’s very small and not fenced if you have a pet with you, a genuine 7/10"
