"We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to stay in again."

"Hotel is very nice, the public areas are really comfortable. The coffee shop and lady working in there was excellent- she was rushed off her feet but was really friendly and efficient. All the staff I met are to be commended for their friendly attitude and professionalism. The car park is large and easy to get in and out. The room, bed, pillows were very clean and in my opinion extremely comfortable. The Breakfast was great 😊. I really enjoyed the one night I stayed and hope to stay again."

"Very quiet rural setting on a farming estate and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation is extremely thoughtfully appointed right down to a sewing kit. We were extremely impressed by the hamper and all the foodstuffs provided. The bed is the most comfortable we have ever slept on. We will definitely book again if we ever wish to return to the area. The dog loved it too. Graham is the perfect host."

"Superb cottage in immaculate condition. Would have coped with four people easily, although there were only two of us. Everything was spotless, it was incredibly well equipped (apart from no scissors which it turns out we use far more than we realised!). We would suggest that recycling instructions are provided - we googled them for the area and hope we got it right, but this is unusual these days. Very central location for exploring. We visited Whitby , Ripon and York. Closer to home we would recommend Staveley nature reserve and a wander into Boroughbridge, which has so many independent shops, including five bakeries and an amazing butcher."

"The place was super easy to find with free parking just over the road. It's so small but super cosy and has everything a couple and their chihuahua could ask for (although we are hook fiends and just love hanging up coats, jackets, bags, towels etc so more of those would be awesome). We enjoyed meeting Knaresborough's friendly locals and found the ice cream parlour, world's end and mitre pubs really nice. Drake's fish and chips was tasty and so was Six Poor Folk. The bus to Harrogate was so easy to use and runs every 10 mins! The walk along the river Nidd was delightful in the sun. Thanks for having us!"
