This hotel does not live up to the Intercontinental name. The hotel needs major room renovations. The lobby area and restaurant areas are nice but the rooms are so outdated. The 1st room we checked in had a musty smell and the carpets were stained. Asked for a room change, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The 2nd room was a bit better but the same issue with the old carpet. We had club access which gave us separate breakfast area, tea time and pre-dinner food and drinks.
The Seabeach pool on 19th floor is very nice but even with Club Access we were told that the amenities were not included and it was an extra charge. Overall not a bad stay. Location is perfect. The staff made sure we were taken care of, and they worked very hard with a smile 😊
Come here for my birthday and wedding anniversary holiday and hotel management surprise me with card and drink. Pub and food just round the corner. Love the place
Very helpful and polite staff. The hotel is huge so be prepared to do many steps. Rooms are clean and spacious, we had a junior suite for 4 pax (2adults and 2 kids). Breakfast is nice. The only thing that was challenging was the location. Before booking we didn’t realise that St. Julian is the party place: crowded, full of youngsters and party people. But it is very convenient to take uber and get around the island. And at St. Julians you have attractive water sports activities offer.
Had to move rooms because of terrible mold issue and smell, staff was hesitant to give us another room. We could actually see the water damage on the opposite wall of the shower. We paid for a king + queen beds, and were moved to a double queen bed room. Room service very sporadic, sometimes orders were never delivered. Breakfast was always the same, towards the end of our stay we ended up eating out for breakfast. Nice pools and saunas. Good location for party goers, but wouldn’t recommend for families.
Opal lounge access is definitely worth it - breakfast was included plus complimentary drinks and snacks every evening. We also had access to the lounge area which was nice after a day at the pool or sightseeing. There was a wide variety at breakfast including an à la carte menu as well as continental, there was even a juice bar each morning.
Our room was spacious and clean. Good water pressure in the shower, the only issue we had was the water temperature was quite erratic - bursts of steaming hot water even though the temperature was low.
Narcis Swimming pool was great - complimentary towels are given. We also ordered food and drink by the pool via the app. We also used the indoor pool once - kids can only use it until 6pm. Private beach access was great although service was a bit slow.
All staff were very friendly and helpful - special shoutout to Momie in the Opal Lounge.
Breakfast was lovely there was a great selection. The room was good and the hotel well located for nearby restaurants and easy public transport to places of interest. It was off season so the outside pools were closed but we visited the nearby beach and able to swim. Staff were very friendly and helped make this a great short break.
Great hotel in a busy area. All you need nearby with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The free beach club is great.
Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet gave a good variety of options.
All staff were friendly and efficient and always willing to assist.
The lobby bar would benefit from being an adult only area in the evening. Too many children at 9pm to make it appealing for a couple wanting a quiet nightcap. Maybe more chairs elsewhere in the lobby or a bar on level 7 where families could have their own separate space.
