Pepper Tree Inn

"The Peppertree Inn is an older property, however, it is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and Casey (met at check-in), was very helpful. There is an elevator so getting up to the higher floors was easy (there are 7 total). Checking out was convenient with a locked box on the outside of the office. Tahoe City is super nice with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Safeway grocery store is close by with a Starbucks coffee station inside. We had friends staying at Star Harbor so the Peppertree location was extremely convenient to make trips back and forth to their condo on the lake. We will consider staying there again if/when needed. Thank you."

"The room was dirty, and the sheets had orange stains on them. We had to mop the floor because we didn’t want our 2 year old grandchild walking on the dirt. The body soap dispenser was empty in the shower. The room was awful, but the actual facility was nice. We will be careful not to stay in this particular room again."

"We arrived on Friday and the home was not set up as advertised. No BBQs, patio furniture, chairs, awnings. Nothing. It took an entire day for the host to communicate, then sent out workers and cleaning people on Saturday to “fix” their mistake. They spent 4-6 hours at the property not allowing us out on the deck because they had to hang an awning. We told them, don’t worry about it, perhaps do it when we leave but they were determined to set it up and wouldn’t let us out of the house. So we were all stuck in the house for hours while they pulled out chairs, patio furniture, and set up BBQs etc. it was a waste of time. The host accused us of over water usage which is a false accusation, and was likely due to their workers who spent most of their time using it."

"By far the best rental home I've ever stayed in. I felt almost like anything I would normally "need" was there. And super clean! The home was in a very quiet neighborhood with some other homes around but the trees provided great privacy. Super easy to get to house. We stayed 3 nights and found some great hikes in the area. It was awesome coming back to this little piece of paradise each evening. The main road was down the hill from the house and the sound of cars going by was usually always there from the front porch. Not a deal-breaker for us. Stars at night were amazing! "
