"The room was smart, and laundry was clean, charging points, lights easy and plentiful. There was a stain on the carpet which was obvious and off putting, and at 4:15am I could not get hot water in the bathroom tap! Coffee and milk were good and bed was pretty comfy-it was a hot room but I could open the window and not noisy so that was simple! We had a light meal the night before which was disappointing in terms of portion sizes and undercooked garlic bread, but puddings were yummy! So overall, I would stay in the room happily but would not head back to the pub for a dinner without persuasion!"

"Clean pleasant room. You could hear through the walls though. Nice breakfast a bit pricey. Pool was nice. Bar food very average but expensive. "

"The Nook was everything we'd hoped it would be, cosy quiet and relaxing with wonderful views. A get away from it all with my husband where we enjoyed a couple of lazy days. A walk through the fields to the pub and the rest of the time at the nook taking in the views from the hot tub. The milkshakes were delicious too!"

"Firstly fantastic staff. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely well stocked bar area. Fabulous breakfast. Very clean. Free parking to the rear of the property. Central location. We stayed as we were attending a wedding so didn’t really explore much but what we saw was very nice. Bedrooms were basic but this was obviously reflected in the price. Teas and coffee were well stocked in the room and had a good variety. Larger towels would have been appreciated. On the whole fantastic stay and for the reasonable price it was good. "

"We often do short breaks but this is easily the best stay we have had. From the moment we arrived we was shocked just how nice this place is. From the great views to the high standards inside the property, everything was perfect. The owners of the property went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and nothing was to much trouble. A must try is the ice cream that is made on site and can be purchased just a few meters from the house. Cant wait to return to this lovely property. Thanks again to the owners for making the perfect stay."

"Our hosts were great, fabulous directions and early communication. Lovely welcome pack with effort made to have things made specifically for the place. All the amenities you could want. Bed was very comfy with lovely linens. Such a really fabulous romantic sanctuary, hidden away in beds of snowdrops, but within easy reach of everything you need. Great log burner, which really warms the place, with all the original features of a characterful property. "

"We had a great time staying in the cottage and found it nice and clean. Nothing really to detract from our Christmas. Log fire was perfect. Location of the house is ideal for trips to the Brecons and into the Wye valley area. 15mins to Tintern Abbey and some excellent dog walking areas. Garden isn't totally secure if you have a houdini dog like ours but it's a big space for them to explore on a long lead. Helen was available if we needed anything and has a ready supply of logs for the fire. "
