"2nd stay here, lovely place. Only negative was a coat hanger that had been thrown on ledge outside our window that we had to look at as we admired the view and no mattress protector on the bed. Towels were poor but we will still return. Beautiful bed and bathroom Even had a regular visit from a seagull."

"The check-in was easy and simple. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And very cutely decorated the breakfast staff were amazing and the food was great. And the bonus of the parking on the key was absolutely amazing. The location of this property is excellent for walking down to the port and stumbling back after a few cocktails. We give this property five stars and I’ve been there twice before I would definitely recommend this to all our friends."

"This cottage is just wonderful, perfectly located for access to the harbour & town centre, and while tiny it is mighty! It is super cosy but has everything you could need for your stay, a home from home. The hosts we super, really open and helpful with information provided well in advance of our stay to get us excited for our visit. We will be back! I just wish we could have stayed longer than we did!"

"We were a little concerned about the cleanliness of this property before we booked due to previous reviews but we contacted the company and were reassured all was in hand. This indeed was the case as the cleanliness was more than adequate. The view from the living area is amazing and light with triple aspect 2nd to none. The 3 of us were very comfortable, great beds and bedding and towels of a good quality. The location of the property is fantastic - you couldn’t get better! There was no visitor book so couldn’t leave any tips which was a shame. Overall lovely property."

"Despite the complex instructions to find the cottage, it was fairly easy. (A quick look beforehand on Google Street View helped!) Found it best to park the car first in the Freshwater car park as you exit the harbour up the hill. This is a long stay car park costing approx. (August 2024) Â£10 for 24hrs. It's worth buying a permit for the week as it is valid in other car parks in the whole of Torbay too for when you trip out. It's an easy flat walk from here (and you may get a glimpse of seals close to shore) back to the harbour and the cottage is accessed via a flight of steps on the street corner. It's a charming, tiny cottage with everything you need, including wifi. A word of caution - the stairs are tricky and the door frames very low! I sliced some skin off the top of my head on one of them! As the stairs are spiral, it's best to come down the last steps backward, like a ladder. The first floor contains the bedrooms and bathroom. The top floor is the living space with an amazing view of the harbour but again be careful when taking up cups of tea due to the stairs. Having said that, we soon got the hang of it! All in all, it's an excellent home-from-home with plenty of nearby places to eat and shop, including supermarkets."
