"The breakfast menu was all fresh, I was particularly impressed with the freshly prepared fruit but it was all very good. My only suggestions would be to include a bar of soap in the bathroom and an alternative to black tea and coffee in the bedroom as I cannot drink either option. In fairness I had brought my own herbal tea bags as I know it can be a problem. "

"The one good thing about this place is the staff. In all other respects this was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience: We were unable to use the car park because of the white vans that were in the way. The room was not especially clean The ‘double’ bed in the room was tiny, barely able to accommodate two people and very uncomfortable No WiFi This place was not staffed overnight so when the fire alarm went off at 6AM no one turned it off and no one came to check on the guests. We left while the alarm was still going. "

The breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had, and the service from Rick was impeccable. If you’re having doubts about booking, don’t! I shall certainly be back!"

"We really enjoyed our stay and the excellent facilities provided in the cottage. A short walk leads to the footpath to the Fountains Abbey estate and the 15 minute walk into Ripon is an easy stroll to shops and a good variety of restaurants."

"We went to the ripon races and this was an excellent base to go from . The cottage was gorgeous and the host gail was amazing very helpful and guided us on taxis . The nicest part was the extra touches gail put in the cottage for us prosecco biscuits all little extra things you might forget like toothbrushes very thoughtful of her . "We loved our time in Ripon, it was a lovely place with quite a few options for pubs, restaurants and places to explore, all within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean, and Katharine made us, and our dog, feel very welcome. We can't recommend the Hayloft enough, if we are back in Ripon, we will definitely book it again, 5 stars! :-)"
