I love the historic building and architecture of this hotel. But it does have an old building smell which is expected with historic buildings so it did not come as a surprise. "Very nice hotel in a perfect location. It does say the rooms are soundproofed but the call to prayer each morning being played outside is very loud and will wake you up early. But a minor point. Overall a very good stay and I would happily stay here again, and recommend to others visiting Istanbul."
