Amazing house, comfortable beds and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. Screen door lock broke during our stay and the host came by to fix it. Loved the pool but unfortunately didn't get to use it due to the extreme cold weather. Highly recommend this VRBO if you are planning a trip to Tampa.

My family and I recently enjoyed a truly wonderful and tranquil weekend at the Private Lakefront Retreat, affectionately dubbed the Lakehouse by us. As soon as we drove down the driveway, we were captivated by the stunning home and the breathtaking view of the lake. The property itself was remarkable, both inside and out, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. With a beautiful pool, a spacious dock, and the serene lake right at our doorstep, we felt like we were in paradise. From the very start, Ross was incredibly attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met and that we had everything we could possibly want for our stay.

Due to chilly weather we were not able to take advantage of the pool but the overall atmosphere outside was relaxing. Ross was friendly and responsive. Would definitely book this property again.

Family Gathering

The property was as described. Plenty of room for all 8 adults. Pool was well maintained. Kayaking on the lake was wonderful. Communication with Ross was excellent and he was incredibly attentive and prompt. A wonderful experience all around.

I have used Vrbo many times to bring my family to Florida. However, this trip was not expected or based on having fun. I was notified that a parent was found unresponsive and was in the CCU. I needed a place to bring my children in case that was their last chance to say goodbye. Not only was the host extremely responsive. Last-minute booking was instant. He was especially kind. Due to my circumstances, he granted me a late check-out. Two extra hours, which I desperately needed to finish with rehab arrangements. Not to mention getting 5 children ready for departure. What can I say about the house? It was extremely clean, bright, and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked. It had all you would need to plan and prepare any meal. The TV in the living room was huge, and the sectional was roomy. The perfect place to gather the family for a movie. The bedrooms were well-appointed. The two with bathrooms attached both had TVs. The extras with this rental abound. So surprising that this host thought of these little treats for the guests. I can tell you from experience that this is RARE. The pool was the perfect temp. Also, it was much deeper than usual rentals. There is a treasure chest filled with pool toys, goggles, etc. There are life vests in case you want to venture out into the lake. The views are magical, especially at sunset. Witnessing the many creatures in nature, while still being protected, was an added bonus. Don't hesitate to book if you find this home is available.

The house is beautiful and spacious. Sleeps 8-9. Pool is dated, but heated and there’s a pool table, new grill, and the house is very well equipped including a new air fryer. The lake house near Westchase was an excellent property. There was plenty of space for a multigenerational stay with 6 adults. Check in was a breeze and communication with Ross was very timely. Beds were comfortable in all rooms. House was very nicely appointed. And lots of fun to be had between the pool, game tables and huge tv! There were just a few small and inexpensive things that needed repaired and would make the home truly perfect. The latch on screen door to the dock needs repaired, pool cues needed new tips (except one to share) and a few of the pans were really rusted and aged. Minor updates aside - don’t hesitate to book. This is truly a gem in the Tampa area. We’ll be back for sure!

This was a great place for a multi-generational family gathering. The heated pool is a good size and there were lots of pool toys, noodles, etc. Bedroom/bath arrangements were perfect. Liked being on the lake for kayaking and peaceful setting. Used the fire pit and grill, pool table and foosball table. Conveniently located near Tampa and the beaches. I would stay here again.
