"Front desk attendant was exceptionally attentive. Room was clean. Air conditioner was needed and it worked quickly and well. Plenty of parking. I will say: the shower was strange. I get why it is set up the way it is (points water towards the corner to avoid spilling out onto the floor and is probably easier to clean), but it made for a uncomfortable experience. Not something to dock rating stars over, but I had to say something."

"Very freeway convenient and only about 15-20 minutes away from Santa Barbara/UCSB area. Ample free parking and Carpinteria is a nice laid back little town. Only negative is walks are thin so conversations aren’t very private and you can hear neighbors above walking all night. But for the price compared to others it was worth it. "

"The room was extremely small, one bed actually was touching the AC unitand was overpowering blowing on that bed.There was no door on the toilet enclosure so privacy was non-existant. Hotel policy permits pets and there were plenty, seemed like a dog in every room. Lots of barking heard at night. On the plus side, Dot at the front desk was more than helpful and thoughtful to find us a comfortable room for our tired bodies."

"The location of this property was excellent—an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by several issues with the accommodations, the most serious being the condition of the sofa bed. Although the listing stated the unit slept four, the sofa bed sheets were dirty and crusty, clearly not replaced after the previous guests. When we searched for extra bedding, there was none in the unit. As a result, two people in our group had to sleep on top of the couch with only a small throw blanket.When we contacted Vacasa, we were told through their AI support that someone would address the issue. Instead, after 9 p.m. the next night, several large trash bags were dropped at our door—still missing the blankets we requested, and filled with random items we never asked for. No one removed the dirty sheets, and no one followed up.When I reached out again and requested compensation, Vacasa responded with an email claiming we had dirtied the sheets, ignoring the lack of bedding and the bizarre delivery of unrelated items. The entire interaction made it clear that Vacasa does not prioritize customer service or guest experience.If the owner of this property reads this, I strongly encourage you to consider a different management company for your rental."

"Excellent location a block and a half from the water with a nice boardwalk nearby. The condo itself was well appointed and conveniently had two bathrooms (one being very small, but easy access from the first floor). The kitchen was well equipped and obviously recently updated very nicely, but some essentials were missing like a usable set of tongs and measuring cups. Minor. Highly recommended!"
