"Nice pool area but no where to sit cos, as usual, people take over the loungers and leave their towels even when they leave for whatever reason so that others can’t use them. We also had to hear all the flushing toilets from rooms above us. Otherwise room was clean, beds comfortable but the pillows didn’t suit us"

"Stayed for one night after a flight was cancelled. Very well located in central old town. Beautifully decorated and super helpful staff. Below is a Michelin starred restaurant - if I ever come back to Faro I’m definitely staying here again and trying out the food downstairs!"

"So pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it’s a two star with four star ambitions. Lovely little touches like fruited water on arrival and always a little something at reception i.e. sweeties or small cakes. The pool area is absolutely lovely. I originally stayed for one night while waiting for a connecting flight unfortunately that flight was then cancelled so I headed straight back for an extra night without any concerns at all. The rooms are very well designed and exceptionally clean as is the rest of the main property. The only reason I downgraded cleanliness by one point is that the carpets on the first and second floors look a little worn. Breakfast was really enjoyable and I had an evening meal there one night which was also more than acceptable. Delicious wine too. The hotel is on the 16 bus route only 10 minutes from the airport or an extra 10 minutes onto Faro old town The best thing of all for me was the staff – very friendly, approachable and super helpful. Really lovely bunch of people their help was very much appreciated."

"Great, convenient location to historic town, pier, restaurants and bars, nice, clean room, helpful staff and most of all great rooftop bar and breakfast with small pool. The breakfast choices and quality are outstanding."

"This hotel is made great by its super helpful and nice staff. Everyone at reception was soo nice and the cleaning staff too. Anything we needed the mostly female staff would help us. The pool was a huge win with my daughter, deep enough and just the right temperature. There were always sun loungers available and air con worked really well. The rooms are small but nicely decorated and modern. At night it was very quiet being closer to the edges of town but only a ten minute walk away from the main Marina. I would love to stay there again when I go back to Olhao."

"Love this hotel. So close to the airport, close to car hire, swimming pool on site,close to supermarket with café, altogether perfect place to stay. Beds comfy, lovely shower, what more can I say!"

"We had a very enjoyable two-night stay at Vila Galé Tavira Resort Hotel and were impressed by the quality of the hotel and its services. The hotel was spotless throughout, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, and everything felt fresh and inviting. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious choices to suit different tastes. It was a wonderful way to start each day. We also enjoyed the spa facilities, which provided a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere after a day of sightseeing. The spa was clean, well organized, and a great place to unwind. A special touch that we greatly appreciated occurred on our last day. We had an early morning train to catch and would miss the regular breakfast service. When we asked the front desk if it would be possible to prepare a takeaway breakfast, they kindly accommodated our request. They packed sandwiches, pastries, fruit, and water for us to enjoy on the train to our next destination. This thoughtful gesture reflected the hotel's commitment to excellent customer service.
