"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Grand Retreat for 7 days during the first half of June for a family reunion. We knew it would be an amazing house from the description on the Vacation Rental 365 website, but seeing it in person takes your breath away. "Over the top" comes to mind for the many ultra-premium features and amenities the house has to offer. The property is well maintained and very clean. The house comes with a "butler" but to me that is the wrong term to describe Marisa, who was super helpful in numerous ways and all the while displaying superb people skills. Perhaps "estate hostess" would be a better term. She is an excellent resource for local intel; she showed us how to operate many features to the house, some of which are not intuitive, such as lighting the fire pits; she ran errands such a going to the grocery store; she sourced cedar planks for us to grill salmon; she helped with food prep; she cleaned; she picked up around the house; she helped with recycling cardboard boxes, aluminum beer cans etc. I had initial reservations about having a "butler" but Marisa was wonderful. Jobelle and Derek and the the many support staff at VR 365 were wonderful as well. In the months leading up to our stay, my many questions via emails were promptly answered. I definitely would recommend this property to a friend or relative and would stay again in a heartbeat."

"We had a great stay overall and found the location to be one of the biggest highlights of this property. It's an easy, flat walk to many of the shops and restaurants in downtown Cle Elum, which made it very convenient to get around without needing to drive everywhere.The location is especially ideal if you're attending an event at the Washington State Horse Park. We were able to quickly zip back and forth throughout the day, which made show days much easier and less stressful.The neighborhood itself was very quiet, quaint, and enjoyable to walk around. Our dog loved the nearby parks and the peaceful streets for daily walks.One thing future guests should be aware of is that the home appears to also function as a primary residence. There were personal belongings, food items, and other everyday household items present during our stay, which wasn't necessarily a problem for us, but it did mean there was less available storage and counter space for our own belongings than we expected from the listing photos and description.It wasn't a major issue, but if you're traveling with a lot of gear or prefer a more dedicated vacation rental setup with plenty of empty storage space, it's something to keep in mind. Updating the listing to better reflect this aspect of the property would help set expectations for future guests and avoid any surprises."
