Located within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Situated directly along the 2.5-mile beachfront of Playa Potrero overlooking the ocean, Villa Potrero includes a professionally landscaped private garden with an oceanfront patio for sunset cocktail hours. A private gate opens to a sandy beach for casual walks, a dip in the ocean, paddle boarding, fishing or just watching the sailboats pass by. The bay has gentle waves that are calm and inviting with warm swimmable water. Your view includes the Catalina Islands 6 miles offshore, one of the most sought out scuba diving and snorkeling locations in Costa Rica. Dive boats can get there in 10 minutes. Let our on-site concierge take care of all the details for you for a relaxing and worry free stay. The concierge will coordinate optional amenities such as excursions, private transport to/from the airport, private chef services, on-site massage services, and local transportation (to excursions or nearby Tamarindo for example.)     The Villa Potrero estate consists of a large main house comprising 7 bedrooms and 7 1/2 bathrooms, 1 full kitchen and 2 kitchenettes. Additional fees apply for private events.

    Villa Potrero is in a beach community within walking distance of several great restaurants such as Hemmingway’s, Nita Coffee, Cerveceria Independiente (Brewery), La Forketta, MerKdo (Grocery) and the sailing center. A few minutes’ drive takes you to El Tiki, Coco Loco, Surf Box (Coffee), Sentido Norte, and the Fruit Stand. So many great options nearby! The Flamingo marina is on the south end of the bay offering sunset cruises and world-class fishing.

Such an amazing time! Arturo the manager was super helpful and always available even late night. House is as pictured, large, clean, great views. It is on the public road access to the beach.

We spent 9 days at villa potrero with 16 people.. it was clean and spacious and everyone had their own space. Catalina, the property manager, was amazing! She was responsive and helpful so friendly! Playa Potrero is beautiful and quiet and the sunsets can’t be beat!

Villa Potrero was the perfect choice for our family group of 11, ages 12 to 83. The home was spacious, comfortable, and exactly as described, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and gather together. The beach was just steps away, and we loved having access to kayaks, boogie boards, and other beach gear.What truly made our stay exceptional was the wonderful staff. Cata helped arrange everything in advance—from excursions and transportation to groceries and a private chef—making the trip completely stress-free. Chef Kattya and her team prepared several fantastic meals and easily accommodated dietary needs. Housekeeping provided and onsite maintenance were a bonus.Another unforgettable highlight were the howler monkeys that visited the mango tree near the end of our stay. We felt so lucky to experience that kind of wildlife right in our own yard. This was truly one of our best family vacations, and we’re already talking about coming back.

This is a beautiful property in a wonderful location! The sunsets were beautiful and we loved how close the beach was. We tried many of the restaurants in Potrero and visited the gelato shop daily. Thank you for sharing your home, our family made many wonderful memories!

Just a wonderful property Owner was very responsiveOnce on site Martin and Arturo made our stay easy and pleasant with high quality service and recommendations For my wife’s birthday we had Arturo book a wonderful private chef Kattya and the 9 of us were treated to high quality meal prepared and served in house, and they cleaned up, too.Just an incredible birthday experience for my wifeThe house is well maintained and close to town as well as being right on the beach

This was the absolute trip of a lifetime and this house and the wonderful staff onsite are what make it a truly remarkable experience. The house could not have been more perfect for our family group of 13. Every bedroom was spacious and had its own nice bathroom. The view words cannot express and the sunsets are gorgeous and totally different every night. The proximity is close to several beautiful beaches we rode golf carts to. I cannot stress enough to trust Catalina’s recommendations on food and tours. Bless her… she was at our beck and call all week. We were loudly greeted every morning by the howler monkeys in the mango tree in the yard… many howler monkeys with lots of babies! Poco the dog became one of our own . He greeted us every morning and kept us company . Dunnia kept the house so clean. Martin and Benito kept our grounds and everything in the house perfect . Chef Kattya prepared her wonderful meals in the home. Her crew were amazing .. so professional yet fun !! Her sweet assistant Andy even took one of our sick guests to the hospital and stayed with her the whole time . Costa Rica and Villa Potrero will always hold a special place in our hearts. The people are so happy and respectful. Pura Vida !!

Perfect beachfront location

We knew nothing about this area before booking but fell in love at first site. The home was immaculate and well cared for. The onsite property managers were wonderful, responsive immediately and so helpful. The combination of pool and beach was perfect. We walked the beach to dinners and rented golf carts to explore further. Couldn’t have been better.

Incredible house with an amazing location

This is a first class VRBO that has everything our family of 12 could want. Wonderful kitchen, dining, bedrooms, bathrooms, pool and the beach!! Would love to return.

The property was gorgeous! The rooms had comfortable beds and their own bathrooms which was great for our group of friends traveling together. Arturo was the house manager and was incredibly helpful well before our trip and throughout. He helped make recommendations and arrangements. The house had a fully stocked kitchen and two large refrigerators upstairs plus smaller kitchenettes downstairs (I believe two). The pool was perfect sized with plenty of outdoor seating and activities. The house is so nice that it was easy to want to stay there but there is a lot to explore in town, so I recommend getting out and about!

Family getaway!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! My family of 8, 23 yrs to 65 years loved our time in Costa Rica! The house is beautiful and immaculate!! The location, yard and beach are breathtaking!! We all went for a daily sunset swim in the ocean! Arturo was great at helping to plan adventures and keeping the house and yard secure and beautiful!

The villa and property are beautifully maintained! The house is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need! Our teenage grandkids loved all the sports gear and the beach right at our fingertips! We hope to go back!!

My husband and I spent one week at Villa Potrero with 8 close friends. We had an amazing time. The house and property are beautiful and within walking distance of several good restaurants and a market for groceries and other necessities. The staff including the concierge, house keepers and house maintenance workers were kind, helpful and accommodating. Arturo and Catalina assisted us skillfully while preparing for the trip by arranging chef service and massages while there as well as answering all of our questions in a timely manner. Martin and Benito kept the grounds looking amazing and were kind enough to set us up on the beach with umbrellas and chairs multiple days during our stay. Judy was a housekeeper who checked in with us to find out how frequently we would like her to come by to clean. She came with another housekeeper every couple of days to clean and freshen up the house. Lastly, our in house chef was Kattya. The experience was so amazing that we asked her and her team to come back on our last night in the house. They even delivered cocktails and appetizers to the pool in the afternoon while preparing a delicious meal. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful Xmas Holiday

Our family of 14 found the villa to be perfect. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and places to gather. There were two dining tables, one indoors and another outdoors, that accommodated all of us. Arturo and all the help saw that all our needs and wants were taken care of. The teens enjoyed the short walk into town. Fabulous holiday!

Adult family getaway

In shot everything was great. On site Matin was spot on, housekeeping everyday was awesome and non intrusive, Arturo knew how to go everywhere, location was perfect. Quiet, warm gentle beach, close to everything. Well be back

14 friends + Arturo = an amazing 40th birthday

We chose Villa Potrero to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday and couldn’t have had a better experience. We are forever thankful for Arturo for organizing our chef experiences, transportation and excursions. Several in our group are already looking at rebooking for their next family vacation! Every employee of the property we encountered made us feel like family and wanted us to have the best Costa Rica experience possible. This place is a must stay!

3 week Family Reunion

The house, pool, yard, beach and proximity to restaurants and shopping more than met our expectations. There was plenty of room for our group of 17 with ages ranging from 6 months to more than 70 years. The on site access to a manager and the daily housekeeping absolutely exceeded expectations. And the sunsets were magical!

Fantastic stay and wedding location!

Villa Potrero was a fantastic place to stay. The house was amazing and beautiful! It has all the amenities and and was in the best location close to everything. We hosted our wedding at the house in the back yard and it was absolutely amazing. The guests loved the space and enjoyed the mixologists that Cori and Arturo provided as well as the picturesque sunset. The house was plenty big enough for our entire wedding party.

Slice of paradise

This home and location is a true gem on the beaches of Potrero - the upstairs with 4 lovely rooms each with a private bath was perfect for the adults in our group. The lower level was just the right set up for the 6 younger people in our group (ages 17-22). The pool was awesome for when we needed some shade or time away from the ocean. We walked the beach every day loved getting to the restaurants in town that way. Arturo and the rest of the team at the house were so great and available to help us in anything we needed. Highly recommend this home and hope we are able to return!

Beach Vacation

We rented this beautiful home with a group of friends. Convenient location to small market and restaurants. The kitchen was very well equipped, we made several meals and found everything we needed to cook. The house and outdoor space was large so we had plenty of area to spread out to enjoy our time. The house manager Arturo responded immediate to questions about activities and restaurants. Pura vida 2024

This house was more than enough space for a group of 10 friends. Very comfortable. Arturo was amazing and so helpful. Martin made sure we had all that we needed. Yury was so pleasant and attentive. We all talked about coming back to this property.

Great house on the beach

This is a great house right on the beach with great boogie boarding right out front. There were 10 of us ranging in ages from 10-80 years old. There was plenty of room. The house is well laid out and stocked with everything we needed. Communication was easy. The owner and property manager were very responsive. In all a 5-star experience.
