"Was a good size room but I did request a room with a safe and then had to wait four hours in the room for a safe to be delivered, first half of my day ruined, I pressed the button for cleaner required that lights up in the hallway outside the door but after three days no one had to come so I physically went and got a cleaner from another room and asked them for some green towels the bins to be emptied the floor to be cleaned, et cetera et cetera, I only booked the hotel because it had a pool unfortunately the pump was not running. The water was green. They did keep telling me they was waiting to get it fixed. It never happened after a week I rebooked in another location the hotel staff were very nice indeed the building itself is a little rundown. I removed the shower hose myself and took it to reception and told them to replace it as it was covered in black mould. The shower curtains needed to be replaced, the fridge didn’t work at all was actually warm inside but I did replace it with a new one the food there was excellent, but I wouldn’t stay there again."

"Nice building, great location"

"We stayed six nights in a Superior Suite at Villa Elixir at the end of a three-week trip to India. Sadly, it was a disappointing experience. Our room backed onto a noisy road, the window didn’t fully close, and mosquitoes were an issue with no net provided. The pool was green on arrival, then heavily chlorinated and unusable for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was very basic (curry, fruit, slices of white bread with butter and jam, and a flask of milk-tea and coffee), the kitchen staff were unwelcoming. We ended up eating breakfast elsewhere and paying to swim at other facilities. Other problems included cold showers throughout the stay (despite reporting it), no hand towels, very harsh ceiling lighting instead of bedside lamps, and only two coat hangers with no extras available. One bedside socket didn’t work whilst the air conditioning was ok but neither particularly quiet nor effective. Laundry arrangements were disorganised, and the payment processing was unnecessarily complicated. Positives: the hotel itself appeared clean, the room was spacious with a comfortable bed and good blackout curtains, and the location is within walking distance of the beach and much of Kochi. There are pleasant seating areas, and our balcony overlooking the pool was nice. Full credit to Akshay on reception, who was always polite and tried his best to help, though he seemed unsupported by management."

"Staff were great. Restaurant had decent food including free breakfast. Location is excellent for Chinese market and water ferry, just a 1 minute walk. Other sites- 40 minute walk to synagogue and next to it is the Dutch palace. 25 minute walk for popular handwashing laundry- Dhobi Khana. Top bunk in the dorm room was a little too high for me, but slept well. Restaurant did not sell alcohol which is a shame, the hostel has a nice chilled vibe. "
