"Briar was very welcome and even gave us a parting gift of her homemade lemon curd! Yum!! We spent 3 nights at Pickmere and found it very comfortable. While we didn’t choose to cook meals outside of breakfast, we could easily have done so as the cottage was well appointed with the basics to do so. The shower!!!, one of the best this trip. Great place to hang out for a few days or longer, good location to explore Kerikeri and Paihia/ Russell or even to access the Cape. Quiet nights and even the call of a Ruru (morepork) was heard one night. Thanks for sharing your little place with us!Cheryl"

"Large family style home. Very accommodating host. The description is a bit misleading. The jetty is not at the property, which was the main reason for us booking this specific property. We expected water views. The house overall is great for a family with smaller children. The bunk bed setup is not at all easy for adults. Small bedrooms. The kitchen overall is very workable but a little more dishes for making meals would be appreciated. The property is in a quiet area, which we lived. Large yard so ample parking. "
