"The castle view room was lovely...very spacious, nice bathroom and the bed was a bit small but comfortable enough. Our evening meal in the restaurant was quite pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was equally excellent. We loved hearing about the history of the castle with the complimentary tour...great idea! We visited as a couple to celebrate my partner's birthday and were not disappointed thank you!"

"Val is a lovely friendly host. The cottage is brilliantly located if you're interested in Hadrian's wall and all it's history, being stone's throw from Vindolanda and the iconic walk from Steel Right to Housesteads. It is very peaceful,an ideal getaway from everyday life"
