"Woken early hours of Sunday morning by shouting people… state of room was terrible "

"Really good city centre location. Room was well appointed with Tea, Coffee, water and apple juice. Had read other reviews about the Air con which was so noisy, we turned it off which was fine as it wasn’t a blazing hot day but would be an annoyance if we kept it on. Slight stain marks on carpet and duvets but nothing terrible and the road noise during the night hence the 4*. Breakfast choice was excellent and the lady who was front of house was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us. The kids brekkie was free which was a nice touch, as well as apples / water station in the reception. All great for us for a one night stay. "

"It's within Aston University campus if u don't mind being in that setting. The photos are better than real life. The twin room has has natural toiletries & a grey bedspread but essentially is similar to a newish Premier Inn. They have a large restaurant, bar and outdoor area which we didn't use (except for 1 drink)."

"I was particularly impressed at check in. I was greeted politely and pleasantly, offered a choice of higher or lower level rooms and when i mentioned my partner had COPD so low level for easier escape in the event of fire, i was offered assistance to evacuate if necessary. Top notch service. The hotel was clean, welcoming and a great location for events at the Utilitia arena"

"I would recommend & will likely stay here again if I am ever in the area. Positives: Easy check in, parking is discounted & next door, late checkout option, comfortable bed, kitchen area fully stocked & had everything needed, the room areas were split nicely & the shower water pressure was perfect! Negatives: I paid for a family room but was given a standard room which meant I had a shower instead of a bath tub which was annoying as the shower head did not come off making it difficult to shower without getting my hair wet which was inconvenient and annoying. The walls and floors are thin so you hear your neighbours & every bang and footstep. The bedroom layout was annoying, it was decently sized but, I booked a family room as I preferred that layout. I just had to manage the awkward space. Parking is a little dear especially as you risk paying for the day & coming back to no spaces essentially losing out on money. It would be good if parking could be pre-booked or secured so that guests know that they will come back to a space especially as you pay per day. Communication between reception and housekeeping needs to be improved as I paid for late check out (which isn’t cheap) however, as I was preparing my things, a male member of housekeeping staff walked into my room.This was very scary as I had placed the do not disturb sign on my door & they did not knock, luckily I was fully dressed but I did not appreciate this at all & it left me on edge. Overall it was a decent stay. "
