"I especially want to highlight the care and dedication of the staff—one night after walking all over Berlin during a heatwave my daughter managed to lock herself out of our room and we were so exhausted we didn’t hear her knocking. The staff found her wandering in her pjs, gave her a popsicle to calm her down and got her back to our room safely, and we didn’t even know it had happened until the next morning. "Pros: The hotel has a great location near a U-station. It also offers free laundry. Cons: Our bedding smelled very bad, and it did not improve after requesting a room cleaning. Also, the room was very hot and stuffy. The air conditioning did not work correctly despite following the instructions to the letter. We kept the windows open full time. The WiFi worked about 30% of the time. It was in and out."

"An der Bar wurden uns für 2 Cocktails die beide 18-20 Euro gekostet haben also insgesamt 36-40€ wurde mir 67€ berechnet wegen irgendwelchen "Gebühren" und dazu mussten wir 35 Minuten warten. Totale abzocke. Ansonsten Frühstück und Zimmer waren Top. Aber die Bar ist die reinste Katastrophe"

"Ganz grundsätzlich muss ich meiner Ansicht nach das Waldorf Astoria in Deutschland mit Hotels wie dem Hyatt in Düsseldorf, dem Fontenay in Hamburg usw. vergleichen. Und da gibt es die ein oder andere Auffälligkeit, die es in diesen vergleichbaren Hotels nicht gab und die das Waldorf Astoria somit nicht genau in dieser Liga mitspielen lassen. Ein Beispiel wäre, dass wenn ich mein Frühstück als Roomservice genießen möchte, ich jede einzelne Speise und jedes einzelne Getränk bezahlen muss, obwohl...

"Fabulous location for attractions and shopping, beautiful hotel, huge bed, spacious rooms, decent air conditioning. Lovely staff, so helpful when our flight out was cancelled and we arrived 12 hrs late. The hotel is very nice, clean, and quiet."
