"I went to bed late at night and when I got up in the morning I saw that there was a large stain on the sheet! There was no shower gel because it had run out and no one checked to replenish it. The most disturbing thing was when I reported these facts to Receptionist, he wasn't at all surprised and merely said he'd sort it. He did sort it but no apology was offered. I'll never stay at a Days Inn again coz it's grossed me out."

"We were a group of three families (plus a dog) and the house and gardens were phenomenal. The kitchen and the secret garden were our main areas for convening. All facilities were great, and as an avid cook, the kitchen set up and equipment was top notch. "

"This place was in the perfect location, our big family (2 adults 6 kids) all had a comfortable bed to sleep in, and the host was amazing. We had a mishap that has never happened before, one of our kids broke some pretty valuable furniture and the host was so gracious and we worked something out. The pictures are spot-on. "

"A lovely peaceful location - very convenient for Harrogate and York. The property was clean with up to date decor - nice view from the sitting room window. The breakfast of cereal/croissants was a nice touch. We also found a lovely pub about 10 minutes drive away with amazing food - there were several to choose from. The owner was friendly and helpful. Suitable for a couple or a small family - there is one bedroom with a double bed, and the other with twin beds."

"Vavasour House is clean, comfortable and cosy. Our hosts were most welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped so we had no problems preparing and cooking our Christmas Day dinner. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed taking walks along the nearby river - there are numerous footpaths through the Red House Estate."
