"When I was booking this hotel I knew it looked nice from the pictures and close to Gion district but it exceeded my expectations beyond anything I could have imagined. First, the hotel is beautiful and from the moment you walk in you just feel the warmness and attentiveness from the staff. The rooms are super spacious, clean, modern and even the hallways are nice. The bakery here is another level of goodness! Every pastry we had here from bagels, donuts and puff breads are so airy, light and delicious. This bakery alone is worth the stay. Then the restaurant downstairs is another highlight to this amazing hotel and the rooftop bar. Don’t be afraid to check it out after a long day out even if it’s cold because they give you a warm blanket to enjoy the air and decompress with a yummy cocktail that you can order with vouchers they give you for booking through Expedia. Perk! Then another amazing thing about this magnificent hotel is that when you come out of the hotel and turn left you are just a five minute walk from enjoying famous geisha district and the their shops/restaurant. 💯recommend to stay here. "

"One of the best places to stay at in Kyoto. We absolutely loved this hotel. Staff were very friendly and greeted you every time you came down from your room at any hour of the day. Check in was very easy, amenities were fantastic, free coffee, drinks and snacks from afternoon to night were very nice. The room was also bigger than expected, very clean, quiet and one of the best I have stayed in even in the states. Area is safe, neighborhood feel, but necessities were close-by as well. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel when we return to Kyoto and only stay here when back in Japan. A lot to discover in this beautiful place Kyoto."

"The hotel is nice and near the train station. They offer complimentary soft drinks and coffee starting at 10:30. You are also given 3-1000 yen vouchers to use toward food and drinks within the hotel. There are pay washer/dryers for guests' use and an onsen. The rooms are nice with a daily complimentary bottled water per person. However, the room lacked suffient outlets to charge everyone's device. Also, nothing to hang towels on or closet space for clothes. We had to live out of our suitcases with insuffient space to store the suitcases so one was open in front of the door. "
