A perfect place to stay for visits to Herculaneum and Pompeii as well as easy access to Mt. Vesuvius. Comfortable, clean, quiet, pretty, and excellent security.
Great place to stay and unwind after a day of sightseeing and dining. Quiet neighborhood, not hard to find. The cat and dog were great too! Hosts went out of their way for our arrival. It was much appreciated!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. A car is necessary, but then the location is excellent for exploring the ancient sites, Naples (30 minutes by train from the nearby station) or the Amalfi Coast. Giovanni was an excellent host who dealt with all our concerns immediately. His two pets (a dog and a cat) are very friendly and made us very happy.
Lovely and tranquil property at the foot of Mount Vesuvius
What a beautiful place and a wonderful host! Giovanni and his reception team (his dog named salt and his cat named pepper) greet you and make you feel welcomed right away! The place is clean and adorable and has everything you need. And the setting is fantastic! If you sit in the backyard you look right up at Mount Vesuvius and listen to doves coo. If you sit on front porch you gaze out across tree tops and get a wonderful view of the Bay of Naples. It is the perfect and tranquil setting to relax after a day of site seeing in Pompeii, the Herculaneum or Naples, all of which are very nearby!
We loved everything about our stay. We were greeted by Giovanni, his daughter Silvia, and his pets, salt and pepper. Giovanni’s place had a homey, cottagey feel and was very clean and nicely decorated. It had beautiful views from the front and the back! We loved the quiet, and we were able to look over the vineyards, listen to the birds and relax. Definitely the best sleep we have had in a while. The location made it very easy to tour Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii and the surrounding wineries. We had the lunch pairing at Cantina del Vesuvio which was wonderful. Definitely need a car for this location, but it was easy to find everything and the roads were not crazy like Naples.
Gorgeus spot in the middle of nature. Taking advantage of Giovanni’s knowledge is a must, and it can drastically increase the quality of experience. He is one of the best hosts I’ve met, and communicating with him is dead easy.
Also, the receptionist(Sal, the dog), and the concierge(Pepe, the cat), will supervise your moves and check the quality of your food, also providing for great companionship.
All in all, a great experience, a great spot for exploring the wonders of the area. If your thing is luxury resorts, and eating all inclusive, don’t bother. If you want to see the marvels of history and nature, and to experince some of the best food dishes in the world, don’t hesitate.
Rentig a car is also mandatory.
Great location for accessing historical sites, Amalfi coast and the train station for further distances or to visit Naples. The house is slightly off the beaten track, in a quiet area, but we loved that. A car is required. Views of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples were spectacular. The house was clean and well presented, everything we needed was provided. Excellent communication with Giovanni and the daily visits from Sal and Pepe (the dog and cat!) were very much enjoyed.
When arriving you may be unsure of the location but when you do arrive you will find the area spectacular! On a private gated lane nestled between vineyards with a wonderful view of the bay. The house is clean and well equipped and the hosts are very friendly. Highly recommend
Heerlijk verblijf!
