"It is an excellent location. The staff were all super helpful. It’s also convenient as it has a take-out restaurant, convenience store (that sells beer, wine, etc.) & a souvenir store. The beach & lake are literally across the road. Each morning we both received one of their famous apple fritters (made daily) and our choice of a coffee/tea/hot chocolate. We would definitely recommend staying here."

"What a great place!! Owners and staff are top notch. Easy check in. Great food. Lodge is roomy with a lounge, pool table and several dinning tables aswell as a tackle and merch shop area. Clean cabins. Feels like your experience really matters to them. Great atmosphere to be in and unwind. Launched our boat with ease. This Lake system is amazing. Huge cliffs, beautiful waterfalls and streams surrounded by hills topped with massive wind swept pines.Looking forward to our next trip up. Cant come...

"The property is old and in desperate need of an update. There weren’t enough towels in the room for all of us even though they knew ahead how many were in our party. When we went into the room, I turned the tap on in the bathroom and no hot water came out. I turned the shower on, no hot water. When I asked about it, the man said “oh ya, we have no hot water”! The room was filthy and we left! Found a room elsewhere!"

"The Pinewood is a great place to stay when doing business or coming for pleasure to Espanola. It is centrally located, the rooms have a good size, modern, clean, appropriate."
