"Newly refurbished clean comfortable hotel - no frills but has all essentials. Service is friendly and hotel has lots of eco friendly initiatives which was great to see!"
"We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a fairly low key hotel in a low key town but very peaceful and friendly. The owners are very family focussed and there is a children’s toy area in the corner of the small restaurant. There’s a boot room downstairs for storing ski gear (and I believe my bikes in the summer). The set and a la carte menus are good if limited in choice which suited us. It’s necessary to book…as is the case with anywhere in Termignon and the other Val Cenis villages. "
"Check in was so simple, staff were amazing and helpful at each interaction. The restaurant was busy with the Tour being in town but the staff were brilliant.
Food was awesome too.
Definitely worthy of more than a couple of stars. "
"Very friendly staff and management. The meal in the evening was fantastic and the breakfast was more than adequate
Will stay at them again if visiting the area"
"We loved the owners and staff. They were all exceptionally friendly and to top it all off their dog, Neige, was so sweet. It felt like being at home. "

VAL THORENS PLEASANT APARTMENT FOR 8/9 PEOPLE FULLY RENOVATED
10/10 Excellent
"Alles is aanwezig, prima locatie ( 150 meter van de piste) en schitterend uitzicht. Makkelijk en snel contact met de verhuurder, zou het appartement volgende keer zo weer huren!"
"Perfect apartment for a ski vacation in Val Thorens! The apartment is near plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, and it is in the center of town. In addition, the apartment is perfectly located for skiing and snowboarding!!"
"The flat is cosy and in a great location easy to get to ESF ski school (although not ski in/ski out at Easter). Great to have the ski locker close by and the shower pressure is wonderful! Kitchen well kitted out and nice to have a dining table. The owners provided detailed information about the flat, but this did not match with what the managing agent in situ did.had been told we would be met at flat at check in but on arrival was asked to go to their office. We pushed back and they did come to the flat but wasn’t the ideal start to the holiday with children. The flat did need some repairs which the owner was going to take care of and of course we went at the end of the season when the flat had been well used. Owner stated that we should have received a start up pack (loo paper/soap etc) which would have been v useful but again this wasn’t provided. "
Cosy, comfortable duplex at the foot of the slopes
8/10 Good
"Had a great stay here. It was nice to have three rooms, and the living space was decently big for our group of four to hang out. Some awkward positioning with the furniture and the way the door swung, and the ceiling was a bit low on the second floor—two people hit their heads several times. But overall definitely one of the largest spaces we were able to find in the village. The dishwasher was a big plus too.Location was great; short distance to the slopes and ski rental store right nearby. A bit further to some of the restaurants and bars, but all were walking distance. The biggest flaw was extremely slow WiFi. It was basically unusable if everyone was on the wifi at some time. I suspect the wifi was provided by some mobile router than an actual router.Communication was great with the property managers and they were very responsive."
"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
"Great property with central location. Bunk room perfect for children only. Double rooms are small but perfectly functional. Ideal accomodation for 4 adults /2 children max"
"Stayed at Hotel Marielle for three nights for a Spring snowboarding trip with my teenage son. Location is excellent right on the snow front with ski in ski put directly to the main lifts in Val Thorens. Reception, restaurant and bar staff were friendly professional, knowledgable and most importantly helpful and really made the stay a real pleasure. Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the snow front. The terrace bar below does play music late afternoon till about 6 or 7 which adds to the buzz of the snow front location but if you want a quiet room better to ask for one at the back. Good selection of food options for breakfast and dinner (we did half board). Service gets a bit overwhelmed at peak pre ski school time 8.15 to 8.45am (our visit was in school holidays) with a few items running out on the buffet but they are quickly replaced if you ask. A second coffee machine might help for peak times! Decor is lovely - has a bit of a Parisian Boutique hotel feel to it. Huge spa with steam room and massive Sauna with a window onto the snow front. Although my son is a teenager now I thought the hotel was well set up for smaller children with lots staying, the ESF ski school straight out front and a decent games room. Val Thorens wa s great for Spring skiing lent to of snow relative to resorts further down the valley and the multitude of lifts meant no big queues. Would definitely stay here again. "
"The check in information was sent to us in another language which made it impossible to know how to check in. I called a number on the listing for help. a very irritated woman answered and was quite angry that I was asking questions about the location of the apartment. She gave me the code to the door and hung up. I searched for the apartment for 30 minutes with no luck. I called back and she immediately began screaming at me. She screamed that it wasn’t her job to tell me where the apartment was, her only role was to tell me the code. When I tried to explain that the instructions were sent in another language and I was having trouble finding the place she exploded in anger. She was screaming so loudly that I put her on speaker so my family could hear her ranting and raving about how this wasn’t her job. She continued screaming that she wouldn’t help me and it was not her problem that I couldn’t find the apartment. I was astonished at her extreme anger. I tried multiple times to ask her gently for help and she screamed even louder, finally hanging up on me. I ended up wandering around the area asking locals where the apartment building is located. Luckily for us a kind French gentleman led us to the place. The place reeked of vomit, the sheets were blood stained with hair in the bed. The shower heads were covered in black mold. Not queen beds as listed. bathroom door hinges were falling off, the coffee maker water reservoir was moldy. Worst VRBO ever. We left a day early"
