We had a nice stay at Alla Corte Rossa in Venice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it was easy to come and go at any time. Breakfast was delicious and served directly to the room, which was a lovely touch. The location is good – right in the heart of the city yet still quiet, and within walking distance of both the train station and the bus terminal.
Was only a short walk from the train station to the property which was an awesome surprise. Room was very nice had the most comfortable bed compared to our other four stays while traveling Italy. Matteo is very kind and helpful. Having the delightful breakfast brought to your door every morning puts it to an outstanding stay and will be recommending to any friends or family visiting the city. If you go in the direction of the alleyway when exiting the property you can find some of the best dining in Venice or take the hike to Castello. 10/10 stay
This hotel was wonderful! We stayed at one of the suites with a canal view. Every morning, we had breakfast delivered to our room in a gorgeous picnic basket. So adorable! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Small hotel with amazing service. We'll be definitely coming back!

This hotel is a small hidden l hotel and has the most clean bathroom I ever seen in Italy totally sparkling clean. Also, they served delicious breakfast in bed . I stayed on the 3rd floor and they have to carry a heavy breakfast basket to my room with hot toasty croissants and it was still hot and toasty and fresh fruit juices. I’m very impressed for a small hotel.
Room was comfortable and clean, and had a nice view to the canal. Mateo was very friendly and helpful. Only things to note is that stairs are that breakfast is only sweets, and stairs are very steep so prepare your knees. Would recommend.

Mateo was wonderful. When we arrived several days late due to flight delays (thanks United.. ) he kept the room for us rather than canceling us as no-shows.
The hotel itself (actually more of a B&B) was just okay. It was fairly distant functionally from the attractions, there was no lift-only sterp and narrow srairs-for our 3rd floor room, and the breakfast consisted entirety of. packaged foods (like from Costco). The room itself was fairly large, with an anteroom and an ensuite bsthroom with a nice tub.
If my wife and i return to Venice we will probably opt for a hotel closer to the ponte veccio, but this is a good choice for an energetic (probably younger) couple traveling on a budget.
Imo expensive for what it is, breakfast wasn’t good (4 croissants, 3 bread rolls and some biscuits). Its far away from main attractions it doesn’t look like that on map but it’s a lot of walking and take longer because of crowds. It is in quiet place however if that’s your thing. Also mosquitoes were an issue, household left the window open after cleaning and it brought so many mosquitoes that we couldn’t sleep (spray was provided but we didn’t do it because of little children). Tv is better than most hotels it’s smart tv with Netflix already signed in which was nice touch. Overall avg stay i would say
Charming bed and breakfast type hotel with wonderful views overlooking canals. Spacious room. Breakfast was delivered each morning in a basket and contained some of the best croissants and other baked goods that we've ever had. We liked the owner and we would stay there again, but we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the beginning of our stay. My wife called the day before and told him of our expected arrival time the next day as was requested of us. We arrived about an hour later than expected due to a train delay and getting lost navigating to the hotel with an erratic Google Maps app. After trudging around in the rain, we arrived to a locked front door. Rang the bell and knocked repeatedly--no answer. Called the hotel number-get answering machine. Long story short, we waited in the rain for about 90 minutes until another couple staying at the hotel came back and unlocked the door. We shared our problem with them, and though hesitant to let in strangers, they relented after spying an envelope on the front desk with my name and our room keys inside. Went to the room and dried out, and calmed down, but needless to say, it was not an ideal start to our stay. Never did get an answer as to why we were locked out, but be warned that despite the claim of a 24/7 front desk attendance listed on Expedia's site, you may very well be on your own out in the rain.
We had the canal view room shown on the site. Nice size room, great view, close to train station and a plaza with numerous restaurants. The main attractions are easily walkable but far enough away to not make this area as crowded as the rest of Venice. The breakfast basket was a nice touch with enough food for breakfast and snacks for the day. Small staff but extremely personal and friendly. Would highly recommend without hesitation.
Clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location
