Charming hotel with friendly & helpful staff. I stayed in a twin room - but note my private bathroom was down the hallway - not attached to my room. It’s a unique hotel for sure.
Perfect location and unbeatable value. The staff is attentive and friendly and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Quintessential Venetian hotel that is a great place to discover Venice.
Great location, close to the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge, lovely rooms, the only downside is there is no lift. A bit of a challenge dragging suitcases to the third floor. If i missed this in the listing when i booked then that's on me.
I stayed at the Hotel Centauro for one night in August, traveling solo. The location was great as it was only a short walk from the Rialto stop on the grand canal, while still being in a quiet part of the city. The price was good value, especially considering how expensive hotels in Venice can get.
The staff were helpful and able to answer any questions I had, even in English. The amenities were fully functional. The bed was okay, neither good nor bad.
I would certainly stay here again if I return to Venice, although I may look elsewhere if I intended on staying for a long time or traveling with a bigger group. For a solo traveler staying for one or two days, I highly recommend the Hotel Centauro.
Great breakfast, very friendly staff, solid location, nostalgic architecture, really just perfect.
Only downside is there was no elevator to our knowledge and the room was pretty small.
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience! The room was very clean and the bed sheets were spotless. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. It’s also in a perfect location with attractions, the ferry, and the Rialto nearby.

Great location and the staff were super nice and helpful for also giving out recommendations of where to go.
Excellent location! We were walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see and do. Every member of the staff we came into contact with was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Liked: Staff & service
There is nothing bad about this property, but you should know what you are getting. The staff there are excellent. The breakfast is definitely above and beyond. But on the other side, there is no elevator, so if you have trouble with stairs, this is not going to be a fit. Some of the rooms have their own bathrooms, some have a shared bathroom. I did not see that I had the latter until after I booked. The bathroom on my floor was quite cramped for space. The location is central to the major sites in Venice, but the hotel itself is on a very narrow street, and is challenging to find. If you like an older hotel, and you know those things in advance, you'll have a good experience
Hotel Centauro was in a perfect location that was close to everything yet down a quiet, quaint little street. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the breakfast was tasty.
The hotel and staff were wonderful.im 81 years old and they went out of their way to help me. Breakfast was superb. A little hard to find but that's probably because my phone was on the blink. Wonderful wonderful wonderful !!!
